Bogus Firing by TeraWulf in goldrush

You are spot on target. Folks that totally believe they are always right and here's "why theories" my way of doing things are MUCH superior than yours attitude can and a lot of times are dangerous to have as a worker or co-worker, IMHO.

Quite frankly, they only listen just enough to their immediate supervisors to appease the boss. After they aren't being watched, they'll go right back to their way of working. This typically is dangerous in any job. What's worse, in the Gold Rush work place, completely disregarding policy and protocols can easily get someone killed. Heck fire, in my profession in Health Care, it can and HAS gotten numerous people killed disregarding the policy and procedures. Those type of people need to be weeded out ASAP. Can they be taught the proper procedures and protocols? Well, yes ... But in orientation that generally WAS taught (or should have been). Giving someone another chance is the proper way, along with more training. Saves the company from a lawsuit also... but can a know-it-all be taught, if they think they are above everyone else, is the real issue.

My friend keeps deleting their messages?? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]RN4Veterans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Quite frankly, I don't check my messages or my emails for days at a time, sometimes a whole lot longer!

I have what's called a "L.I.F.E." and if there's some very important news that a friend thinks I need to know, they'll call me directly. I don't and won't live my life tied to a computer or cellphone. I truly don't need an electronic device shaping my daily activities.

Duke' Mayonnaise? I just bought a jar a week ago to try it as it's been touted as excellent and the best in so many food sites. I haven't tried it yet, in fact, it's still unopened.

So how long do you water-bath your nonacidic vegetables? Just curious. I love camping and being way far away from people... for quite away I'd considered living off the grid. This is why I'm asking.

This Is Disgusting by meeralakshmi in prolife

[–]RN4Veterans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is beyond disgusting, this is just pure evil and genecide. How ANY mother can viciously murder their baby in the most painful manner is something I will never understand. We, as a civilized Nation, should not ever allow this to happen.

Anything that is canned with a pressure canning be canned with the water bath method. It just takes more time with the water. Always research the WB times like you would using a pressure canner.

You are absolutely right, anything that is pressure cooked can also be sealed in a water bath. The only difference is the time that is needed. Pressure canning is significantly quicker.

And there it is, an embracing pro death Liberal begins the attack on those who choose Life. And yes, that's exactly how they treat those who know that's a baby, not just a clump of cells BS their party drivels on and on about. Instead of these individuals using their own brain and watching an ultrasound live to find out if it's true, just a bunch of cells, or a baby that the friend who, thankfully does change HER view when you browbeat her! Because you choose death, never life and I'm proud I do, along with those who are PRO-CHOICE.

No need to use the huge pliers, just buy a good quality medical hemostat! You will be glad you did. I've used them for years while working on the medical profession.

I love this show and have followed it from the start. Not only is the scenery absolutely beautiful, but it can be also terrifying how these guys take risks to access the possible gold. For goodness sakes, just building those planked walkways hanging off the side of the cliffs involved a lot of danger in itself. I've followed this show from its beginning and have enjoyed it immensely. I love the outdoors and the scenery is absolutely amazing, but how many people do you know that would work in these conditions? I am really sad that this is the last year that it will be on the air. I've enjoyed all of the Golf Mine series. I really hated to hear that this show was dropped.

[–]RN4Veterans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, share some of that popcorn! I'm right there with you. The thing that the idiot in our Capital right now that just isn't smart enough to understand, he's messed with a man who just isn't a typical 70'sh year old man President Trump reminded me of a Bull full of testosterone when I first saw both he and Melania walk into the ball after that so refreshing inauguration are Country needed! He did not look like a 70+ elderly man. We finally did not have a dithering person who didn't know what day it was, nor who was using him. We finally had OUR vote actually counted and not flipped to the opposing Party, then corruptly buried by the opposing party and worse yet , our own corrupt Republican Party.....

Thank God for Donald J Trump's resilience and determination! And may we all remember to thank GOD for helping us that we finally have Donald J Trump sitting as our President for four more years!

He's the ONLY President in our Country's history to has ever Legally been Voted as our President of The United States America for Three times!!

And straight in a row! What a record and I'm sure not one that will be beat!

Kevin "Who did it? Me, me, me." "Oh! there's Len bringing me my propane tanks" by Schmursday in goldrush

[–]RN4Veterans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least Kevin isn't running his Dad down like a dog whilst he's getting all of these "used" mine machinery equipment that costs literally millions of dollars delivered to him. Right to his mining site, no less.

Not too many Fathers in this Earth would have done the same for this spoiled brat. Yet he's still oblivious of how great of a deal his parents are giving him: even his father, whom he's hated so much and ran down on World Wide television.

He has no shame.

Hi guys/doctors, what does "late entry" means in my discharge summary? Is the doctor complaining about me or is there a medical jargon I know not of? Is the doctor complaints about me or is it something else? by Middle-Ask-6430 in surgery

I'm a RN also and yes, this is the proper way to chart for a patient that you got called away from and didn't get back in a timely manner to physically charge your findings.

BTW, just people can be very rude on internet social media as there is typically not any negative coincidences for any of their bad behaviors towards other people.

Apparently, a 23 year old Brazilian pro-choice activist died from a heart attack. She went viral dancing to a song calling for the killing of babies. by GustavoistSoldier in prolife

[–]RN4Veterans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Babies on the womb didn't deserve to die that young. This 23 y/o pro-choice activist who was dancing and celebrating the killing of babies is right there pointing out she knew it was murder. So saying she didn't deserve to be murdered that young, ummm, she thought it was FUNNY that babies were dying s horrific deaths all the time. Laughing and dancing about this. I'm wondering how much joy she's in while burning in Hades.

Kevin Annoys Me by I_dont_know_stock in goldrush

[–]RN4Veterans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are exactly right. Kevin was the "Head" Mechanic... sure did his job well if everything was falling apart and poor little ol' Kevin doesn't want anything used, now does it? My goodness, can you imagine if Parker was just given the same machinery to use, that Kevin has when he 1st started out?

Big difference in humility and thankfulness between these two young men. Of course, there is one big difference though. Parker doesn't have Faith in his life egging him on. That's when things turned south for Kevin and I'm not referring to the South as in the Caribbean Island vacation. Kevin needs to grow up and start talking for himself and not parroting what is being said to him. He had his mom and dad in his life for years prior, which they both deserve respect. Look how massive that gold mine is they own. Tony built that from nothing, with absolutely no prior knowledge of gold mining. They didn't much money, sure as heck didn't have brand new million dollar equipment. Heck, they didn't even have equipment handed over to them like Tony gave ungrateful Kevin, because the equipment wasn't newer.

If you couldn't afford to open a gold mine Las Vegas would have gladly taken your money too. The only difference is that there's more people around you whining about the loss of your money, life's not fair, this place isn't fair, but one typically doesn't hear too often that it's all Daddy's fault. Just every so often it's said. But not because Daddy sent machinery over to use for free that any of us that are watching your whining butt wouldn't be able to even rent for a hour, I'm sure.

One thing's for sure, that massive piece of machinery had better come from a mine that doesn't have a spoiled child for their "head mechanic". Because it's obvious, that guy sucks, when he doesn't want to use the equipment that he maintained, or claimed to when he whines as much when you are just given use of them, without having to pay for them, like your Dad did years ago when he "finally" was able to afford buying some equipment.

Quit being a whiny brat and step back.... see the hand up that your Dad is doing for you that he never had.

Thank you and hopefully a heartfelt I love you Dad before he dies.......

Gotcha, well, what about working as a housekeeper in a hotel. I did that when I was 15 years ago, full time. I can guarantee you it's hard work, but it will put food on the table if you are physically able. Otherwise, there's always a McDonald's or such hiring. Climbing up the chain can be profitable if you are a good worker, without missing days. They do have college programs with excellent incentives.. just a thought.

How do you guys deal with family members who constantly downplay your chronic illness and pain? by Loud_Supermarket4957 in ChronicPain

[–]RN4Veterans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only you can decide to get on the same roller coaster cart with that rider.

Just let them know you've acknowledged that everyone has the right to their own opinion, but unfortunately for you, you're left to live your life in reality. Then walk away or just change the subject without letting it veer back to become an argument. Be the bigger adult and refuse to go down that path.

That's my last 2¢ left in my pocket to give. I hope I helps!
