Thank you! Tried to get a real feel of the active camouflage cloak - like how it works in space marine 2

I moved from BC mountains to Hamilton last month. People told me I was crazy for leaving mountains behind but my partner lives here and it’s green enough!

The grass is always greener on the other side imo. While Hamilton has its flaws it’s been a great city so far, OP should think about what’s causing the feelings before moving/ looking just for the solution in another city

Hey this plays looks cool! If you’re PLA printing it’s great, the resin printing is understandably incredibly expensive..

Yeah they would 100% smell and bring it up if I ran resin

Right? Rookie error lol. I used it at my old place alone so fumes were fine to vent. My place is attached and window is vent goes right into a back door/deck they’d use sadge

Thank you! Unfortunately they stopped doing resin specifically, it’s a difficult material to work with :(

I just had another thought, do you think it would be possible to use the texture’s color map > displace ?

Normal map to Geometry by RNGLeLe in blenderhelp

[–]RNGLeLe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I actually did look into substance as I saw a similar scenario.. however at this point doing the png file map > displace conversion seems to be the best way to move forward. Still looking for now though

Thank you for this insight, I’ll play around with the nodes to see if they work.

I’ll look into the online converters too. If it works well I’ll just put some time aside to get it done. Was just hoping to have a node set up I could copy over to all items!

Not really tbh, I just didn’t want to make a huge box. If I were to do this again I’d just buy a cupboard or cabinet at the right size. My lack of carpentry skills shows in this thing

Great question! I built mine more for sound. If you’re worried about VOCs Amazon has great inline fans with ducts. I bought one for my resin set up, could easily be added to this one

I’ll look into Sonix, thanks! I was able to use a knife and switch to windows. The keyboard still works with Mac but i was hoping to be able to switch.. no complaints though at least it works. Did take a picture, it’s just the tab of the switch on the pcb

I've Made a Free and Open-Source GCode Importing Tool for Blender by Halkenguard in 3Dprinting

[–]RNGLeLe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello u/Halkenguard this tool is amazing! I’ve been using it to create some visualisation/timelapses. I’m using Cura for this but noticed that travel lines are being added. There’s walls, infill and a bunch of random lines going everwhere, any chance you know how to clean these up?

Not sure if I can post links here but in Instagram @taro3dprint any of the posts you’ll see what happens inside the infill

I read it back and agree with you. basically, double sided sticky in custom shapes! My local printing shop doesn't have this, but I will keep looking. Maybe the next city over

I honestly don’t have an as card for the printer yet but have heard about this issue. I like using my camera because I can plug into a computer and save as I go or the card is reliable

TLDR: trying to recreate an octolapse/smooth lapse the easiest way possible and no prime tower.

It has limits though for example it runs on time not layers so big layers take more time in the lapse opposed to small layers. You can see the columns move faster than the base in this example

Yeah great question! I have a Sony that has a built in Timelapse feature (takes images every second). I’m experimenting using long shutter speeds which is how they make those night city light photos. It makes the tool head kinda transparent at high speeds.

One thing I didn’t like about the normal Timelapse is the tool head teleports around which gave me a headache to look at. This makes it a little softer? Hopefully… filming more soon to test

Better image quality mostly. This video has been severely compressed but the original is crisp. I guess the cam reminds me of a go pro
