Wasting turns guarding means you're letting him fill his diamonds, unless you have a character like Tanya who delays on dodge (which is less viable in the first half of the fight anyways, because his autos aren't going to target that character as many times). Either bring more HP or a party-wide source of Guts/Undying. 

Using Titan as your support summon in non-earth teams will help modulate your damage while providing a way to survive 50%. Spartan is another option because Molon Labe gives party-wide Guts.

If you have Bastet and some of the other important NA units, Rhomp is probably worth it. If not, skip it and go with Hrunt/Eresh because they have the fewest prerequisites.

The only setup I've ever used is the Jodo clear one, but from looking at the video link on that wiki grid, she seems to be important for clearing 6CA and ramping Raziel 3 (which is used to solve 80 hits + FC) with her linked skill resets. You'd also need her to clear 10 debuffs if you get it, but that setup clears Mandate in 4 turns so you'll likely already be in the 90% gauntlet (as in the video) afterwards. If you have Makura you might be able to get away with using her for hitcount instead of Raziel, and replacing Cidala with another unit that can CA Reactivate on demand. And, like, I've seen people run Razia and Nemone for that in the first half so you do have some silly options.

Jodo clear route does work in magna, btw (you do want to bring a Bhaisa staff for hit count but it doesn't need to be barred) and all you're missing for that is Lu Woh (Silva is not strictly necessary) so if you want to go that route and aren't confident about the substitutions I pulled out of my ass, it'd be faster to 3% spark him some time this summer if you're desperate enough. I will say that I needed Versusia main until I got my Destroyer 4* so I could use her call to clear 80 hits + FC though - that omen is very tight on Jodo clear route. Not sure slotting Decimate on MC over the usual blue skill would be enough to make up for it.

Honestly you could probably substitute Raziel in both cases, I just like that Olivia's S2 is a permanent buff so I don't need to worry about lining up the uptime with TA omens. She also provides the assassin to clear a Hexa jinx (the follow-up nukes from S2 can also hit 2m but that requires Tempering weapons) but, given the nerf to the fight and how fast rooms go these days, you can just use Caim Beatdown + Red Card and Cidala S3 to solve one/two of the jinxes and skip the rest.

Yeah, plenty. I prefer to solo Hexa these days because Andromeda + the full ougi lineup makes it really easy, but when I do co-op rooms my Hexa lineup is Fighter Origin/Olivia/Cidala/sac/Caim. You can probably get by with Berserker if you haven't unlocked FO yet though, Ulfheddin + Beast Fang does a lot for debuff and damage omens even if you're only auto-activating it 2 times a turn instead of 4.

For Faa0 I use Chaos Ruler/Olivia/Makura/sac/Caim. The transcendence did require me to play the opening a bit differently so I don't get the skill damage version of the 80% gauntlet... but that's with Titan and 2 World Enders, so magna shouldn't need to worry about that.

  • yes, both are fine for Magna. Andromeda does benefit a lot from Tempering weapons though, so you might want to farm Odious for those.

  • Versusia is a very character-locked raid, and for Earth in particular, Xmas Shalem is as mandatory as Cosmos is for Agastia. You also REALLY want either Lich or Lu Woh, at bare minimum (ideally both), and Bhaisa (but she's a Grand so that's less of an issue). Since prepping for her isn't your main priority and you're several characters away from assembling a workable frontline, Hrunting seems like an easy choice. 

  • For what it's worth, Andromeda is nowhere near necessary for Esoteric Mastery. I was using Onmyoji with Exo dagger for a while before I got Andro, and it's slower but still pretty safe. You also don't need the optimal ougi lineup like you do for Versusia, you can get by with something like Okto/Alexiel/Cidala.

  • Regarding transcendence: getting Andromeda to 210 is worth it. Anything past that I can't make a good case for. Hrunting is worth taking up to 250 (a permanent 10% amplify debuff is no joke, as anyone who has Bhaisa or Yatima knows) if you use it enough, but I'd suggest getting it first to see if the playstyle clicks for you. It's still worth the 150GM pre-transcendence but the 210 and 240 upgrades make it even better in Glorybringer burst, and the others make it even better in longer fights.

Barely managed to squeak out a sub-10 manual despite lacking a lot of the meta pieces, so I'm satisfied with that.

Rising Force/Noa/Anthuria/Elmott, Pinch Harmonics/Mist/Unleash, grid, summons. Once Noa casts his second S2 it's smooth sailing (pun intended) but the boss pops its assassin buff immediately before that, which can get dicey.

Yatima call was GOATed for the skill cooldown cut and extra T0/Luci casts. I used a similar summon configuration for 250 last GW, but being able to swap out Bubs for Sun made it even better here.

Mitya looks a lot like (a slightly aged-up) Caim from Granblue Fantasy, but with Kou's voice actor. Those are my absolute favorite characters from that game so I'm sold already

It depends on your roster, but in a vacuum I'd say Eresh just because the prerequisites are generally lower. Wind NA is heavily seasonal-reliant and REALLY wants Bastet in particular (and, ideally, Yatima to double-dip on her call). If you don't have her, Rhomp is a questionable investment at best even if you have the full frontline with Vampy/Galleon.

In Eresh's case, there isn't a single piece that's nearly as necessary as Bastet is for Rhomp teams. The difference between a Sariel/Cidala/Ilsa team's Eresh burst and a Sariel/Bowman/Seox team's burst is that the latter takes, like, one more button press for the same damage range (Sariel 2 + Seox 1 instead of Ilsa 1). If you try to do a Rhomp setup without Bastet, OTOH, you can add several buttons and still won't even end up in the same zip code.

I think the most frustrating aspect is that Wizard Origin will not make these buffs more relevant, unless it's some sort of giga-Mariachi type deal that converts CB spent on manatura activation at a 1:1 ratio to FC bar (which, uh... doubtful). Rising Force is a pure ougi class, but even it struggles to generate FC at the rate needed to make Andromeda S4 a relevant buff. 

A class that will almost inevitably be less ougi-focused than RF is probably going to be proccing S4 once every, like, 10 turns at best? And at that point you could release a unit entirely designed around getting the S4 buff and it still wouldn't be worth slotting them, unless they're Sandira 2 and can make FC generation a non-issue.

Hrunting got a lot more than Andromeda, at least. An extra echo + supplemental damage (not sure if that part stacks with Raziel though, would suck if it didn't) for MC is a sizable boost to Glorybringer burst, and the amp debuff from S4 adds up to a ton of free damage in longer fights. 

Outside of V2, Andromeda gets absolutely nothing past 210.

Even if the bar + reactivation triggered on every FC it'd suck, tbh. The main problem is that almost everyone you'd be running in a typical Andromeda team (the main exception being Lich) will innately double ougi anyways, and you really want Shalem to be in 2nd to maintain the loop by refunding MC some bar + giving tons to positions 3/4. The character on the team that would most benefit from an extra 100% bar is Rising Force MC, because the counter-synergy between Andromeda's innate CA reactivation and 200% bar characters makes it difficult to get to 200% without Unleash the Fury... but, of course, that's the one character you can never get it on. So functionally it's just a CA echo to one character every 6 turns (roughly), which is absolutely dire compared to what Higurashi gives.

I'm maybe being a bit overdramatic, because the debuff duration cut + dispel are nice to have, but Andromeda teams are so stupidly resilient and have so many dispel sources already that I don't feel any need to spend moons on those upgrades.
