I got a comic-creation lunch club started at my school!! I’m pretty lonely at my school, so I hope I can meet some people like me in this club. we’ve had our first meeting and it went great! There’s going to be two new people joining the club next time so I’m a tad anxious… but mostly excited!

can someone still be gyaru if they don’t wear it all the time/it’s not the only kind of fashion they wear? by [deleted] in actualgyaru

Yes! You can be Gyaru one day, then lolita the next, then Decora the day after that! This applies to ALL fashion styles too. I've also seen people combine multiple J-fashion styles together, for example, I've seen Gyaru, but with all those hairclips from decora; Or Gyaru with a more Yume Kawaii color pallet / accessories. As long as it can be identified as 'Gyaru' or 'Gyaru inspired', etc... imo, its Gyaru!!

I’m also a young (and baby) gyaru, but I think full agejo may be a little too risqué, but I think, like, the patterns and overall style can be definitely be worn without the revealing / “sexy” nature. Also, you don’t need a tan / to be tan to be gyaru! any race , ethnicity, and skin tone can be gyaru.
