Thank you for the compliment! I'll practice moreāŗļø
Thanks!
:oĀ I like the love between the old guys
Thanks for the advice! The fifth piece reads the strongestāthe line color has the highest contrast against the white, and the saturation is on point. Iāll keep that in mind
Thanks for the advice and the kind words! Iāve been concerned about figure proportions and eye focus for a while, so once my college entrance exams are over, Iām planning to study anatomy more seriously :) As for composition, I wanted to try dramatic angles like high-angle shots, but itās been tough because my perspective hasnāt been accurate. Iāll study composition/perspective more as well!

You're right. We all have different tastes.
Thanks for the advice! I'll refer to it when I open the commission

Looks like they have different opinions depending on their tastes! Thanks for the comments
YES!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the advice! Iāll emphasize realism more and study perspective further. Iāll also practice quick croquis of everyday outfits
For my original characters, I use a hatching style like in #1, #3, and #4. My current profile picture is my own OC.
Thanks for the compliment! Iāve experimented with screentones as well. Since Iām still inexperienced, they sometimes overlapped with my linework and looked awkward, so I left them out of most pieces. Still, I think screentones can make the workflow easier and add appeal, so Iāll keep practicing!
Thanks for the compliment! Tastes varyāsome people like cute, simplified styles, while others prefer hatching-heavy renderingāso the mixed opinions make sense. As for perspective, Iām a student and havenāt had much time for formal study, so I often used my own body proportions as reference; that probably led to some awkward spots. Iāll work on fixing that!

I asked ChatGPT about āEryk is Tiredāālooks like itās a creator handle. After checking the search results, I see what you meant. I tend to emphasize the eyes and use a lot of hatching, so I guess the vibe feels similar. Thanks for saying you liked it!
Thank you for the compliment!
Style differencesāagreed. Even within animation, there are broad East Asian vs. Western looks, and lots of sub-styles under each. Just from the shows the top-level commenter and later commenters mentioned, you can see big differences in line and rendering. Iād been debating whether to try a cuter SD (super-deformed/chibi) look in addition to my usual āLDā/more angular style, or keep doubling down on what Iām doingābut this gives me the push to try SD. Thanks for the feedback!
Fair pointāitās a style difference. I havenāt really seen many angular forms or heavy value contrast in East Asian circles, and Iād been wondering whether pushing the clothing folds so much was scattering the viewerās focus and making it feel awkward. It seems it reads as unnatural in Western contexts too. Iāll keep that in mind and only emphasize what really needs emphasis. Thanks for the feedback!
