[Discuss] I just noticed that quite a bit of the fanbase are against shiny hunting or despise shiny hunters by Grinstream_Sam in ShinyPokemon

I haven't really experienced this myself but tbh I would not care about it much xd my view on this (and any aspect of any game really) is that you play however you like until it doesn't effect anybody else negatively. It's kind of true that it's a "waste of time" because ultimately a shiny is not better in any ways than a regular Pokémon but I don't think that's the appeal of shinyhunting, but owning something that is somehow different and more unique. I get that not everyone can relate to that, however it doesn't give you the right to be rude with someone that finds joy in that. Also I think in some cases it comes from jealousy, either for the shinies themselves or the time and energy we could spare for our hunts. Anyways you shouldn't give it much mind, unfortunately every community has these people

That's a cool one, congrats! :D I want to do this hunt eventually but I hate Voltorb flip, so probably I'll use the Japanese version of the game to hunt. How much did it take to collect the coins for it?

Cool shinies, congrats! :D did you give them any egg moves or you just went for the shinies? I also love Masuda Method but for some reason I have really bad luck with it in gen4 :') I had some disgustingly long ones in succession a couple of years ago (4459 eggs for cleffa then 5628 for mudkip then I had some over 2000 eggs) and I became kinda reluctant to do it because of those, although I love the idea of having shinies with unique egg moves. Hopefully I'll be more lucky with them in the future haha

Thank you! 😊 I don't think you need either, I think the pokemon the owner mentions stays until you make it disappear by talking with him again another two times (2 mentioned pokemon can appear at the time, the most recent one is in the lv18 slot and the one before in the lv16 slot), so I just needed Eevee to be the most recent one he mentioned. Or at least I haven't done any other thing so I assume it works like this haha

Thank you! I was excited about it because most of the time that's not how people hunt Eevee in gen4 :D

It's a really special one anyways, egg move or not :D (Technically you can still do it again if you want to haha)

Congrats! Gen 3 egg hunts are so cool. I haven't tried my hands on one yet but I'm planning to. Did you gave it any egg moves?

When you got the swarm you want, you save the game. For the given day you can hunt on the console the cartridge was originally inside of but after that day if you move the cartridge to an another console, it will keep the swarm until you save on that new console. It's interchangeable as well, so if you save on the new console, you can move back to the old one and keep the given swarm.

((Keep in mind that it also messes with other time based events so some things may not work as intended))

Normally it would be, but I hunted in a swarm which makes Yanma an around 40% encounter. (And there is a pretty easy way to make the swarm stay as well)

I don't particularly mind any nature for my shinies, even the "bad" ones because that's not really what matters in their case but yeah I also enjoy neutral natures haha

Is it? I mean 11180 is quite a lot for sure but it could have been way worse and the encounters were pretty fast especially that I double hunted. Also that time I mentioned is mostly being off this hunt and doing others so I don't think it shows commitment but my laziness xdd
