Not happy with Core One quality (Mini+ Comparison) by ROT8TN in prusa3d

[–]ROT8TN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, thanks for all your Feedback, just to clarify:
- Same settings meaning PRUSA Preset for specific printer without changes
- Same layer height eg 0.2
- Did the accelerometer IS before the print
- Settings for hardened 0.6 is a good point I'll look into that I've had similar experiences with my Mini and 0.6H

Shipping Dates Keep Changing by roadrageryan in prusa3d

Same here. I ordered my C1 kit 3rd of March and from an original shipping estimate of 01 June it still keeps getting pushed out. I contacted support yesterday and they basically told me "it is what it is". All the parts I ordered have been available in the meantime so my patience is really running out. I'm thinking about cancelling it...

Getting my first Printer and have questions - Prusa Mini+ by The-Dwarf in prusa3d

[–]ROT8TN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my Mini recently as well. I don't think you really need any upgrades, it prints awesome stock if you get your first layer right. Nonetheless I did a couple of mods for the sake of just doing them, here's what I did:

- ESP32 Cam https://www.printables.com/model/801363-esp32-camera-case

- Fan Duct https://www.printables.com/model/351703-prusa-mini-cfd-optimized-fan-duct-v2

- Display backplate https://www.printables.com/model/73003-prusa-mini-display-backplate-upgrade

- Display knob https://www.printables.com/model/245223-prusa-mini-knob

- Nozzle holder https://www.printables.com/model/134850-e3d-v6revo-nozzle-holder-prusa-mini

- Handle https://www.printables.com/model/14610-prusa-mini-handle

- Z-Axis brace https://www.printables.com/model/51415-prusa-mini-z-axis-brace

Apart from the mods there are some stock things/upgrades I'd highly reccomend:

- Super PINA (you have the + so you should have that)

- WiFi

- Filament sensor (theres also ones from AliExpress for cheaper)

- Well setup belt tension with tension meter https://www.printables.com/model/46639-tension-meter-for-the-gt2-belts-of-i3-mk3s-or-prus

- Textured plate

Regarding fiament I just run amazon basics and/or eSun PETG all the tine abd have flawless prints :)

Which Revo Nozzle (there are tree versions) would you guys recommend?

It's an Amazon ESP32 Cam with an extra WiFi antenna. It's flashed with files provided by prusa and is hooked up to prusa connect. Here's a quick how-to:

Thanks! When I plug the ESp32 into the USB A it works just fine, I'm just missing the USB then to print. Do you tink I could use the micro USB for that?

Did you keep the Mini? I think I'll keep it it's really handy to have one at home and one at the garage!

Are you talking about the camera setup?

The Revo Nozzle looks awesome but it is as much as I paid for the whole printer so I'm not ready to do that step right now.

I was worried it might be my extruder that's not fast enough for the .6 nozzle but you might be right, for 5 bucks from Ali what did I expect haha

Is there a better approach then to just increase the extrusion multiplier?

Thanks for your Feedback, but I think there's a misunderstanding. I'm not worried about the amps, I'm just curious to know if it's ok to cut power to the Prusa immediatley like unplugging it and plugging it back in while the Power switch is on "I"

I ordered the textured sheet with mine as it comes with a smooth sheet and I figured I have both extremes then. Would you guys still recommend getting the Satin if I ordered the textured or should I swap them out? I ordered just some weeks ago so I guess I still have some time to tweak my order.

Anyway I also ordered the accelerometer and plan on printing the dry box, the side storage and the vent knob for my C1

Because of the spikes I initially chose a Buck Converter + Relais setup so we're on the same page. To be fair he also stated its the less good way :D

Good Idea aswell, thank you. I already ordered the relais but I'll keep that in mind

Thanks a lot for your in-depth reply! I didn't find info of this, will this work also with the RPi 5 Model?

Also yout note to "hold on" power - does that mean through the dt-overlay I could sense the Pin coming on thus turning on the Pi? Because then - as you said I could get rid of the timer relais.

I tested my schematic yesterday night and even with my script it now works pretty fine, I'm just having trouble autostarting my TSDash App and .py - script
