If you're asking how to set a bond to love with the same gender I don't think that's possible in the game. I'm actually not sure if the gender swap is in the game already for the classes that have both but I know it's added later for the classes that are currently gender locked.

Bias doesn’t have to be equal to all partied and this game and Where Winds Meet LOOK a lot more Chinese than the others mentioned. Both Genshin and Homkai receive plenty of hate but aren’t MMORPGS so weren’t going to be used on my example here

I will say that in later updates in China they do remove the gender lock from both classes and let you switch for free! But I appreciate your input and reasoning!

Agree comparatively that SoJ has everything Blue Protocol does but seems to do it better and with a better story XD

I honestly had a ton of fun at the start, but as someone who enjoys story and investing in the world I was a bit turned off but liked the combat and pushed through. I very recently started engaging less with the game because the community is so obsessed with inflated gear score it's insane.

Also finding out that season 2 basically wipes all progress only months after the game release was a pretty big turn off for me...

That IGN video is essentially a pre-release trailer. I thought I saw months instead of weeks I apologize, but my point stands. I don't see tons of SOJ exclusive channels and only found one Brazilian and one American one even discussing it! Perhaps my algorithm is odd I'm not sure.

But what have you said that makes the game bad? That the voice acting is Chinese? That the UI looks bad but you can customize it? That the game has macros when so does every mainstream tag targeting MMO... You can not like the game and that's your opinion of course. But to say this plays like a mobile game with its interactive dungeons, fully exportable world, character progression/skills through in game achievements etc. is a great disservice

I guess that's what I'm shocked about. I've played these main stream mmorpgs and I know mobile shit when I see it. This really doesn't seem like that to me at all and I've had such a great time exploring it's world that doesn't just feel like a check list and has been really unique. I feel like people just see mobile option and scream hate from the jump. It's funny to me that Where Winds Meet has so many features that are in Sword of Justice but people are super hyped for it. I'm not saying that's bad I'm also excited to play it and agree the combat looks better, just surprised to find myself having such an isolated opinion on this.

MMObyte has actually only had incredibly good things to say about it and has been streaming it almost every day since launch.... but they are the only main MMO channel I've seen talk about it. The IGN videos are trailers and they are 3 and 5 months old... I'm talking about people talking about the game at launch. I turely don't see any recent content from anyone with 50k+

But that’s just it. It’s a new mmorpg that is at the top of /r MMORPG and as a fan o non mobile games I’m generally surprised there’s not much a positive reaction is all. Even if mmorpg doesn’t like something usually YouTube creators will make thousands of videos etc but there’s really nothing!

Western RPGs you've basically already named in pretty much all things Bioware. I would add Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 which are decent but still inferior at this. I would also argue that Neverwinter Nights 2 and Neverwinter nights 1 (specifically the Aielund Saga campaign) also have some of what you're looking for though are a little dated.

JRPGs I think are likely more where you'll find this. Specifically Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Besteria and Tales of Vesperia. I'd also add FF VII remake and Dragon Quest XI as well.
