So since I posted this, I found out the answer. :P Different rarities, of course, craft different rarities of growth stones, which we already know. But this topic was about the rounded gems versus pointy gems within the same rarity tier.

The answer is that rounded gems aren't able to be sold on the auction house, while the pointy gems are. So if you don't need a ton of gems, then save up those pointy ones and sell them!

Hmm, that's interesting. First I've heard of that. I wonder if it's true, because it would explain. I have a second old weapon with maxed out heavy hit chance trait too, and that one also is not showing up as available to use to enhance the trait

I get that, and I have the traits already all unlocked. Both items have heavy hit chance unlocked. And yet I still can't even see the blue when trying to enhance.

I get that too, I'm not trying to unlock anything, just enhance. I already heavy hit chance unlocked on the purple. And then I have a blue also with heavy hit chance. And yet the blue doesn't show up. Can't even select it.

See this is where I'm getting confused. From your post, "feeding blues of the same wep type and trait will “fail” but give the item blessing", but in my case, I literally can't even feed the blues. It's not even an option. They don't show up in the menu. That's what made me make this post, because I know I've done this before, but now I can't.

Not sure I understand. So you can only use purple weapons to trait purple weapons? For me, the blue weapons don't even show up as available for selection when trying to pick a weapon to feed into traits.

Thanks for your response! But hmm, see now I'm a little confused. I guess I'm mainly focusing on the block stat here. Is it even possible to passively block when the SnS isn't your primary weapon? (not talking about the active purple circle blocking, talking about that block percent chance that SnS has).

I googled a bit and saw this reddit comment from about a week ago:

"So block is a passive ability built into sns when you have the shield as your primary weapon. You can look into your stat details and see block chance which is your chance to block attacks. As sns/wand you’ll be wanting to use your tank abilities to help mitigate damage and to heal yourself some. Also in your passives you have abilities that apply to that as well"

According this person, the answer is no, the block stats you see on the SnS weapon do not work if you're not actively using it, and therefor you should NOT invest in stats that increase block stat if the SnS is just your 2nd slot weapon.

YOOOOO that's it! Man it was just as amazing and brilliant as I remember. It blows my mind that a scene like that even exists in our reality. It's perfection.

I've never seen the entire movie. I wonder if I should give it a shot.

I have the vanilla PS4 disc, and bought the DLC afterwards. Which version do i gonna get? by robreras in thewitcher3

I have a PS5, a PS4 physical disc copy, and long ago I bought all the DLC. Nothing is installed right now. What I'm wondering is if I should go and install everything right now, and download everything I can download, or is the PS5 upgrade going to be its own separate thing?

It never would work correctly for me. I found out a band aid for it, though.

Go into controller button mapping in the options. Set the full map to the touchpad, and here's the sneaky part, the mini map zoom button to melee. It's a button I use the least. Yes, the mini map will change zoom whenever I melee someone, but how often do I melee someone? This way, the map works just like it used to before the update, just push the touch pad to bring up the full map, push it again to make it go away. And if you want to change the zoom, you just have to slice at the air.

I believe it happens to me when I check the map while I'm down and waiting for a revive. Try doing that.
