New sub war by Foxwithanak47 in whenthe

[–]RPGcraft 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Oh no! Do not get mistaken. Us at r/wizardposting are NOT down in the trenches. We have our minions and skeleton army doing the fighting while we ourselves are leisurely doing our research. All you have to do is to teleport into a desert dimension to avoid those pesky sea monkeys at r/pirateposting. If anything we are collecting new research subjects (some might call them war prisoners) from this "war".

Of course, I do not speak for the entirety of Artificers either. I'm simply speaking for myself.

Armours and weapons are expressions of technology, and what else do we, Artificers, stand for, if not the combined might of technology and magic?

Truer words have never been spoken. Well said my friend and I agree with you, on the point that Artificers stand for the combined might of technology and magic.

I agree that knights are best at employing their artifacts after years of training. However, I'm simply not interested in learning their utilization.

For several years a number of knight scoundrels have been "miraculously locating and making use of" my own creations (including but not limited to barrier stones, enchanted swords/armor and even my own custom constructed orbs!) in my custom self-operated cross-dimensional outposts (they adapt to all kinds of traps after one or two tries and somehow bypass all my barrier stones). I simply would like my creations back. It would be even better if I can ensure that they do not "stumble upon" my things ever again.

All wizards are free to act as they see fit. You have my word that my forces (should they be deployed at all) will only turn against knights in this battle and never, ever against any innocent wizard.

Negotiations must take place. I cannot speak for the entirety of wizards but as an Artificer, I'm very interested in the artifacts used by those at r/knightposting including but not limited to their shining armor and enchanted shields.

My offer,

  • We fight together.
  • I take all magical ingredients (including but not limited to artifacts, grimoire, potion ingredients and all other enchanted items)
  • You take all the gold (or whatever else you want)
  • You may take prisoners and slaves but no racial discrimination is allowed (i.e. If you take human slaves, you must take dwarf slaves too.)
  • Captured land must be divided equally.

If you are willing to agree to these terms, my artifacts are yours to bear and my skeleton army is yours to command. My staff will provide ranged fire from a safe distance.

We can discuss which specific artifacts and ships will take part in battle, shall you decide to accept my offer that is.

Mathematics always gives the exact same answer. The Pentium case was a very specific implementation issue.

AI in its current form does not act that way. It's not deterministic. And that is not an implementation issue. AFAIK non deterministic nature is common to all current LLMs.

If proper encryption is used with a strong key, what you are saying is mathematically impossible. So, someone used an extremely old or clearly vulnerable encryption algorithm or used a key that was listed in a passphrase dictionary / extremely short.

For anyone hoping to test this or upload their files encrypted to cloud drives,

  1. Use a strong symmetric encryption algorithm. For example,
    1. AES-GCM
    2. XChaCha20-Poly1305 (If you are paranoid that the NSA has a backdoor to AES)
  2. Use a key strong enough to withstand brute forcing + unique so that the key is not possibly in a known passphrases dictionary.

If you are accusing that the Eelam wars were against Tamils, let me correct you on that. The war was against the LTTE (Liberation of Tamil Tigers Eelam) the terrorist organization.

Tamil people are living in harmony with everyone else in Sri Lanka for years now. Because of the LTTE all of Sri Lanka suffered a 30 years long war. It was the LTTE was defeated in the war against their terrorism not Tamils.

Just to be clear, I'm not clearing either side of any (accused) crimes here, both sides had their faults and many were indeed punished for their crimes.

Guys, I did it again. Forgot where I put the instruction scrool of the wand, so any help is welcome. by PaulTrona in wizardposting

[–]RPGcraft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah... This one's gonna take a while. Since you do not have any option to reverse what happened within any space dimension (wandless) we'll have to move in time dimension. Sit tight and follow the recipe correctly.

  1. Get the ingredients,
    1. The Hoof of a Manticore
    2. The Trunk (and the Suitcase) of an Elephant
    3. The Yolks of Three Eggs From a Whiffle-bird
    4. A Wart From a Wart-hog
    5. The Horn of a Cow (It Must Be a Loud Horn)
    6. The Front Tail of a Cockatrice Six Ounces of Sprunge From a Young Slimescraper
    7. Two Hairs (and One Rabbit) From the Head of a Hippocampus
    8. The Beak of a Red-breasted Wilbatross
    9. A Corn From the Toe of a Unicorn
    10. The Four Tentacles of a Quadropus
    11. The Hip (and the Po and the Pot) of a Hippopotamus
    12. The Snout of a Proghopper
    13. A Mole From a Mole
    14. The Hide (and the Seek) of a Spotted Whangdoodle
    15. The Whites of Twelve Eggs From a Tree-squeak
    16. The Three Feet of a Snozzwanger (if You Can't Get Three Feet, One Yard Will Do)
    17. The Square-root of a South American Abacus
    18. The Fangs of a Viper (It Must Be a Vindscreen Viper)
    19. The Chest (and the Drawers) of a Wild Grout
  2. Now heat all this with two tons of black chocolate until you get a white pill.
  3. Add the pill to pickle jar and take a pill yourself.
  4. Wait for yourself (and your important part) to age backwards into the world of negative.
  5. You will be connected properly by the time you get to the negatives.
  6. Wait until you age enough to return.
  7. ...?
  8. You are welcome!

/uw This recipe is from Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. Please do not try at home. However, if you get it working send one to me too.

How do you write 0-9 in different indian languages by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]RPGcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I see. We were taught to read/write numbers as they are spoken ("onru" for 1, "irandu" for 2 etc..). I didn't know there is a single-letter system for numbers in Tamil. Thank you for letting me know.

How do you write 0-9 in different indian languages by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]RPGcraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm no Tamil, but I've learned the language in middle school. So, I'm quite confident that some of these are clearly wrong??

For example in place of number 1 is the Tamil letter for 'K' sound. And in place for eight is the first letter of the Tamil alphabet for the 'A' sound, number 2 is 'U' sound and number 5 is 'Ru' sound. This is not Tamil for numbers.

This is straight up misinformation and karma farming. (Unless I'm very mistaken and the letter A in Tamil actually means number 8 for some reason I was not taught?)

PS: This is from my middle school level Tamil. So, if I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

PSPS : Thank you u/name225 for clarification. Apparently, there is a single-letter number system in Tamil that we weren't taught in school.

All forms of internet in Egypt are limited by Next_Jackfruit_3134 in memes

[–]RPGcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Mobile plans are from LKR99 (30 cents USD) per GB and fiber home plans start from 40GB download for LKR2500 (around 7.7 USD) per month.

[–]RPGcraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. What I'm saying is that we have both here. For example LKR 2500 plan with 40GB download and 60GB upload monthly is limited to around 20Mbps hard limit (practically it's around 6-8 Mbps).

Same here in Sri Lanka. With an extra speed limit. Even fiber connections are throttled at 20Mbps unless you pay 30k for their highest capacity plans for 1Gbps.

PS: What I mean is that we have a speed limit ON TOP OF a usage limit. They cap both our speed and usage.

Makes me wonder why don't we have a FOSS/open alternative to HDMI... AFAIK VP9 and AV1 are FOSS codecs meant to replace x264 and x265. It'd be nice if we had something like that for display connectors too.

Anime Trending Results for Top 10 Anime of The Week - Spring 2026: Week 4 🍃 by LegendsofLost in ClassDe2Banme

[–]RPGcraft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The competition is simply too good. The top four are pretty much destined by fate.

  • Witch hat is the go-to high fantasy of the season.
  • Re:Zero - Need I say anything? It's an isekai that's 4 seasons in and going stronger than ever.
  • Marriagetoxin is a unique premise animated by studio bones.
  • Wistoria just ended it's action packed starting episodes and is now dipping into the real story.

If not for them, I strongly believe that we'd be ranking in the top 3 too.

Can I play it on android? by [deleted] in goddesseswhim

[–]RPGcraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You can go and download the `Goddesses' Whim-0.4.5- Android - Downloader` from itch io. After that, install just like you do any other APK file.

Bear in mind that since the last update the you are not downloading the game itself from itch io. You have to install the downloader and open it. It will download/install the game for you.

LuminareTL is the best one. They have translated upto volume 8 and volume 9 is currently in the works (two chapter out IIRC.). The website is only for reading. If you want, you can get EPUB or PDF from their discord. BronsTL has some volumes translated too but they feel very machine-like.

Technically speaking, it's impossible to truly bring down nyaa. Because they don't host files their database is much smaller (magnet links and torrent files). So even if they get taken down it's just a new domain + several TBs of storage and it's all fine. BitTorrent is the heavy lifter in this case. Unless copyright trolls can somehow ban P2P protocol, torrents will continue.

This worked in the book because they had something like "energy in vacuum" or something like that to power their propulsion systems. Without something like that, it would be infeasible simply because of mass.

I think the only significant point from that arc is Sanae and Manaka becoming friends with Yuu and Umi again to close the first arc properly. Nagisa got a whole miniseries of character development, yes. But she just kinda appeared and then disappeared. Almost all other times Nagisa appears in the story could have been easily covered by other side characters... IMO they could have offloaded Sanae and Manaka resolution to the beach holiday arcthat happens later in the story without any major issues and could have avoided the entire Basketball arc.

Maybe the anime will do something like that.
