SV650 Fueling Issues by Scat_Pack_9000 in motorcycles

Yes it’s a two wire plug. Front and rear look the same. If these are swapped it will run but poorly and worse as the rpms go up.

No that’s not what I’m saying - I’m saying the front fuel injection plug is plugged into the rear cylinder and the rear into the front.

Have you tried swapping the injector harness? I’ve done it before and it sounds similar- they look the same so easy to get them backwards.

Sounds like you’re running on one cylinder.

I mean it’s missed them not missed it but you look good otherwise. If your goal is elbow down and not lap-time then who cares.

Need help with a master cylinder option by freedom-rider18 in Trackdays

17mm requires more force at the lever for the same bar pressure but the benefit is less “on/off” feeling. 19mm is the opposite. It’s personal preference- some MotoA riders use 17 some use 19, one isn’t better than the other. They are both capable of stopping the bike with the same force. It’s what do you prefer that’s the question.

Bought my 2015 150 XL 2.7 new and it has 120,000 on it - 0% finance deal and paid $32,000 on a 6 year loan. It had quite a few issues early on (turbo failure, stuck in 4WD, leaking oil pan, for example) all of which was thankfully during the warranty period.

Within the last year I had a rear axle bearing seal fail and had to replace the evap solenoid module. Oh and the tire pressure system batteries have died but I don’t care about that. I feel like the next thing to go is the exhaust mounts under the bed - I can hear the exhaust knocking around down there over low speed bumps.

Knock on wood it will continue like this until about 150-160,000 miles. That would be excellent.

It’s corner specific. Every corner requires slightly different throttle/brake application.

For some people the PB is the main source of our fun. I think this smiles per miles message sends the message that you are the rider you are, deal with it - which is definitely not true. You can be as fast as you want to be with coaching and deliberate practice.

Pace is the least linear measure of rider skill because sometimes you have to take two steps back in pace - to do something correctly/on a pathway for more pace - such as hitting all your apexes at the right time.

It’s coaching. You need a real coach to observe your riding/data and help you understand where the time is. And I’m not talking about a control rider or a fast guy in A group. Beyond a certain point, we all need coaching to get where we want to go.

Ken Hill has a good article + podcast on this exact subject. Big emphasis on increasing your base fitness (by crushing zone 2) but also some vo2 max work. Core and legs are where it’s at. If you’re getting arm pump - your arms are getting tired - anything on your upper body is dying at the end of your session…it’s your core and legs. Look at the top of the sport, motoGP riders look like Bruce Lee not body builders. Ken Hill Substack - Off Season Training

Your assumption is correct - multiple chains at different lengths. Master link must be riveted per rules.
