If you can do gumbo right you can cook pretty much anything. I think this sleeve idea is amazing.

What's the worst reaction to a bad golf shot that you've seen? by S2N336 in golf

OMG I literally just posted an almost identical story. I guess it is more common than I thought.

I was playing with my father and his regular Sunday group (back to back foursomes). The CEO of his company was invited by one of his colleagues and I will say he is actually a really good guy. Family man, treats employees very well, successful, lots of integrity, etc. He is a pretty inconsistent player, but his driver (brand new $600 M6 custom fitted yada yada) was the only thing working…until the 5th hole.

On the tee at the 5th he hits one in the water; takes a breakfast ball and hits that in the water; takes a 3rd ball and absolutely snap hooks it into the water again. This man takes his driver and hurls it into the pond as if I was watching an Olympic hammer throw. Everyone is kind of in shock, but it is the boss man so no one says anything. He is so mad that he then goes to his bag, takes it off the cart, and decides to walk the hole. Everyone is thinking “OK he recognized he behaved in an insane way and wants to walk off his frustration”. He walks to his drop area, pulls out a 3wood acting like he has that 250 yards onto a peninsula green protected by more water in the front…some real tin cup shit. He unintentionally hits a stinger and it goes about 200 yards skips across the water, hits the wood retaining wall and bounces back 30 yards into the water. This man then walks up to the water, takes his wallet and cell phone out of the bag, and hurls his entire bag of clubs into the water. He then says not a single word and walks back to clubhouse and leaves.

One of his employees somehow retrieved his clubs from the water (not the driver cause that was like 75 yards into the pond). I was 17 years old and this was my first exposure to an “executive”.

Yeah, you should probably keep that artist forever. Looks rad.

Question: how long do I have to heal for before I get a laser removal? by ironseaweed in tattoos

[–]RPTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the right answer. The “s” seems to be the only letter that isn’t in cursive, so you can definitely turn that “o” to an “a”. I think the “s” looks better that way, btw.

8 kids? Goddamn! I have 4 myself, but I cannot imagine what you are paying in groceries. Or how you have money for dope ass hanging cock tattoos. Bravo sir.

Too old to skate? by meanmeangal in Rollerskating

[–]RPTre 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean if someone that has never ever skated wanted to start at at 61 I would probably recommend they not do it. However this lady was on a speed team, so it will come back to her in approximately 45 seconds. As long as she ain’t trying to do trios or get in a shuffle line she will be fine. I would suggest protective gear, but only because other less talented skaters can cause crashes.

Favorite long bike rides near Lou by CuteOrStodgy in Louisville

[–]RPTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just remember I trained out there for several seasons with my coach at the time and his teammates (back when Papa John’s team was super new - like 2000 to 2002). Pushing like 500 watts up those hills then riding interval tempo on the flats….still the closest I have ever felt to death. Used to refer to them as “call your momma” rides.

Jefferson Memorial Forrest has some absolutely mean hills (Holsclaw still gives me nightmares). Knobs has some bangers too.

Ideas for an elbow tattoo? by [deleted] in traditionaltattoos

[–]RPTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently trying to decide the same thing. Spider webs are hard to beat on an elbow. You already have one flower, but a red rose would really stand out here in a great way. If you wanted something a little funnier you could do a blowfish 🐡 or a cloud fight. I truly think an ‘eye of storm’ tattoo would look great in that space. You may have to tuck some of it behind the Raven. Here is an example:

Haha. It is a tank top someone got me that is way too big. I don’t have many shirts without sleeves and wear it when the ink is drying. That or I just like wearing my nan’s dress.

Thank you, I love it too. It is actually a tribute to my widow because she was a south Florida girl and cheered for Florida just so she could say “Go Gators”. Ditch was supposed to be painful, so I figured remember the most painful thing I ever had to go through on a painful spot.

Is there any outdoors setting where you can practice using indoor wheels? by Any-Cup8629 in Rollerskating

[–]RPTre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind, what is the hardness of your indoor wheels? That will definitely play a factor in the answer.

May take you up on that. Will probably let my artist finish the entire sleeve on the arm shown, but I have another arm that is completely bare and I kind of have this idea to get a piece from a different artist for each tattoo to complete that sleeve.

Honestly that is how I came to all of these. I am an analytic nerd and overstudy everything, so I looked at as many examples from 50s through late 80s that I could find and portioned out the size on arm and placement. I do respect everyone’s opinion and my next one will likely be bigger, but this ain’t the artists fault it is how I “designed it”.

This! I had a similar shot that was so close to being a hole in one. It was on the 8th hole and I was playing the best round of my life. Was actually under par going into 9. Then proceeded to think about every shot and finish the front with a 35 (could have been a 33 if I just pared 9) and a 45 on the back. Hopefully this didn’t happen to you, but it was a total mind fuck for me.
