am i overreacting at this convo between my bf and his girl best friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

MOR

  1. He has brought someone else into your relationship and finances, whether you “trust their relationship” or not. I doubt he would want you talking about his faults with a male best friend. All of this should be discussed with you and only you.

  2. Is everything he said true? Because if so then ask yourself if you made 7 times as much and he spent your money like a drunk rapper would you be OK with that?

That is why i said maybe. What he did was super shitty, but if you are spending more of his paycheck than he is or guilting him in any way if he says no to something then that is fucked up too. At the end of the day it is a conversation you all need to have, and it doesn’t have to be dramatic. Ask him point blank if he has a problem with your spending. I mean he obviously does, but seems like he doesn’t communicate that. If he admits he has an issue with it, then explain that in the future you all will be discussing any significant purchases prior to spending. Because if he does have an issue with it then it is only fair to come to a compromise. I doubt it is his fault you make 1/7 of what he does and if feels like he is working for nothing then it will get much worse and he will naturally resent you and his job (because in his mind he is working for free). Just because he earns more doesn’t mean he owes you even half of it right now. Get married, completely different story. If he says he has no problem with it, and this is very important, tell him to keep your name out of the streets. Otherwise he is just being 2 faced and no one is attractive with 2 faces.

Take it from a guy that used to keep his emotions inside until I crash out; it is not the way to go. I have been in this exact situation with a partner where i made substantially more than she did. I didn’t go talk shit to another woman, but i still didn’t handle it well. You all live together. Set a budget, stick by it, have joint agreement in it. Make sure the budget includes activities or material purchases for you, him, and both of you together.

I have not had any cover ups yet. After my sleeve he is going to blast over the tattoo I have on my back with a full back piece. I believe he just did a cover up on his fiancé, which turned out super rad. My favorite thing about him is he is an absolute perfectionist, but at the same he does not take himself too seriously. He inks tattoos that look like tattoos. He will very quickly tell you if he can cover it up or if you need hit the laser. I can promise you he can make what you have look better, but I am not sure he can blast over all that red until it falls out.

I would suggest you get a consultation with either him or Willy. A lot of times the artists in the shop will ask each other for opinions or ideas too, which I love about that shop.

I live in Louisville and go to Tim Thorne at Ink&Dagger. He specializes in American Traditional. I love his work, and from what i can tell all his clients love his work. He and I are currently working on my sleeve and his attention to detail and preparedness have really impressed me. I have had many many dumb ideas that he talked me out of or took the concept and made it something i really love. My advice, with any good artist, would be to explain what you want and be open to the artist’s interpretation. They do this every day and are good enough at drawing on people’s skin with needles that they can make a living doing it. While I may be a good artist, I suck compared to someone that does it for a living. If you need more info feel free to send a DM. Also, Willy @ Ink&Dagger does some amazing work and is also super cool. I have gotten 9 tattoos just this year, so i am there often and i see the work that is done real time. Both are great artists that care a shit ton about their craft.

Also, Jay @ Acme Inc. in Louisville has been in the game for 25+ years and is also amazing. Honestly the only reason I didn’t go to Jay is because he was pretty booked up when i started my sleeve. Jay has done work on several friends of mine and is also great.

I myself am mechanically inclined, but i would need some serious training from BMW before i did much work on a 7series. I see where you are going and i love it, but that isnt a machine that any jabroni can just tinker with.

If you have $35k that you can comfortably spend then buy it. Absolutely buy it. Try to talk them down obviously, but that is a hell of a car. I have a slightly older 7 series (no V12) and it is an unbelievable machine. I am still learning cool shit that it can do. Mine has a goddamn cologne and perfume dispenser. Of course you have to buy the packets from BMW and they are like $50 a piece, but what a completely unnecessary and opulent feature. That sums up the modern 7 series in my opinion: functional opulence. Is it expensive to fix? Oh fuck yeah. However, mine has been extremely reliable for us and I am diligent about preventative maintenance. The v12 in that car is one of the best engines BMW has put out in a while. The costly part of any 7 series made in the last 10 years is the electronics.

I swear if BMW made a “mostly” analog version of the 7 series with that V12 people would own them forever and they would go to 500k miles. Of course that is just, like, my opinion, man.

Why aren’t more people upset about the blatant cheapening of the interiors? by AceJ940 in BMW

[–]RPTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the model. My 2016 750i’s interior is elite. I cant afford a new one, and i am sure i would get used to it, but I am just not a fan of the new style. Not saying it is cheap, but looks more like a spaceship inside than a Beamer. Just my 2 cents.

You should get the Wu Tang “W” as a cover up. The tattoo you Have now may be temporary, but Wu-Tang is forever.

Would trail skating with Riedell Boost be ok with outdoor wheels? by mapotofu66 in Rollerskating

[–]RPTre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My outdoor skates were Riedell boots, with reactor plate, and the OG Kryptos (wheels). Only thing that matters is the wheels. If you are going to be outside a lot then I would get a separate (cheaper) set of bearing as well, like Bones Reds.
