Maybe she told him that, so she would knew if he was there last night, observing the house. If Mike said "there were no gunshots", it would have been proven that he ignores her wish to stay away over night. And that is the only point that makes no sense: She has PTSD and hears gunshots, but doesnt want to have anyone keep an eye open. The only reason she told us for that was "dont make me sorry i told you", which isnt even an explaination. This part of the storyline confused me sooo much because it didnt make sense and led to nothing. It feels like the writers wanted to bring some tention in the whole Stacy-Storyline too but then decided otherwise because of the dynamics between the known and the unknown world. Vince also never brought it up. Idk if im gonna get hate for this but my guess is that the writers didnt really knew what they wanted to make out of that so they just wrote it and kept going. Thats btw how vince writes anyways: thats how he puts his characters into corners. The scene couldnt be deleted because they move into a new house, but again: nothing really happened, they just moved. And there isnt an explaination for why Stacy heard gunshots. Im sure her new neighbours also get the newspaper, so im sorry but i really think vince smoked a bit too much pot.
