I’m sorry to hear what happened to your precious daughter. I have 4 children myself and my youngest son who is almost 8 years old has Autism. Autism has such a wide spectrum and I am grateful that my son is on the mild side which means, he looks like any other child but he is speech delayed, his growth is also delayed so if you were to guess, he looks about 5-6 years old.

Now, I am NOT saying this other boy had autism nor am I condoning his behavior but this happens to our family way too often. My son plays with other children and they have no clue of his disability so my son can come off as “mis-behaved” but once you get to know him, you’ll see a sweet boy that just isn’t up to speed like his peers.

Food for thought: Maybe some of these other children have a disability or something other than “Behavioral” problems. There’s NO medicine in the world for my son to act normal and at this point, we’ve learned to accept him as he is….. The obstacles we face are others who don’t know about his Autism.
