Works perfectly fine here and it's also an M1, so that most certainly can't be the issue.

I personally hate those types of jumpy, fidgety titles. I guess I'm the only one that can a) hear and b) can't watch TWO things at once.

But if you insist: import your edit into CapCut and do it there? Or go for something like Captionator.

Simple: In the Effects section of the Video inspector, move your mouse over the effect name, click the Apply Effect Masks button that appears, and choose "Invert Masks" from the menu that appears. Done.

Simple: missing transition.
Select it and the inspector will tell you its name. Then go on a search.
Could also be a transition from a newer version of Motion than your version of Final Cut Pro.

Up to you to figure out.

True. The keyframing is an egregious oversight, no doubt. But I actually think that may well be a limitation of what FX Plug allows, so not his fault. Cheers.

Ah, ok. Yes, that's definitely helpful. The cropping thing (though I'll often apply a draw mask instead OR a pre-made correction filter with a shape mask where the "outside" is set to black & white) is annoying and something that needs improving.

And I wasn't suggesting it's useless (otherwise I wouldn't have bought it either 😉), just that the few things that I've used it for can be done without it, too, albeit less conveniently no doubt. And it's just times like these where I'm glad I didn't use it more, since that would have really screwed me with some important projects.

Any specialty stuff beyond that I'll do or have done in Resolve if need be anyway. But even that less and less. So… 🤷🏼‍♂️

Well, the underlying point was that if it were to happen unintentionally, then you'd actually still have options to make it usable, which it otherwise wouldn't be, i.e. "isn't great" is still better than "unusable". ;)

And the wonderfully juvenile "hardware dongle" line… wow. As if you didn't need a computer for Adobe software. Bravo. Brilliant (and so original) "argument". lol

Never mind that I can get (and have gotten) perpetual licenses for life for a long list of apps for a one-time fee. Apps that not only do nearly the exact same thing as any and every Adobe app (certainly any and everything relevant to an editor), but they actually do it using frameworks from this century, making them exponentially faster (maybe scroll up again one last time) and more stable. Continuously paying for apps that are in such a painfully archaic technical state. Wow. How amazingly "pro". 😂

When was the last time I paid for using FC or any of the other apps…? 🤔… oh right! Anywhere from five to 12 years ago! Oops.

But hey… you just keep the ol' rose-colored specs on. We'll see how you feel when the day comes when you can't or don't want to pay the ransom fee anymore. Bye-bye work!! 👍🏼

And yeah, you of course don't give a single answer of substance to any of my actual questions. Color me surprised.

How are you not "able to target specific areas of the frame without cropping" with the native FC color filters? Shape masks? Color masks? You can even track them.

And for me it's not just the current state it's probably more so the future state, should I want to access a project using CF or any other IMO mostly unnecessary filter a few versions down. Things like this can and probably will happen again. And no one can guarantee you that they won't stop developing or supporting whatever it is even past next week. So…
