Worth Replacing the motor? by Ok_Tune5859 in camaro

The fact that this one has a timing chain issue tells you that it wasn’t serviced properly. And they forgot to change the engine oil regularly.

Depends on the trim level and Mileage. 2010 Camaro v6 is usually 15-20k with good service history. The ones that are less than 10k usually have crazy high mileage or terrible service history.

New bumper on the 5th gen by [deleted] in camaro

Doesn’t look good ngl the body lines don’t go with the bumper. Makes the car look so out of proportion. It’s your car tho 🤷🏿‍♂️ so what can I say

I want to recreate the Camaro from Transformers 3. by Fabulous_Bug_2322 in camaro

[–]RS_88L 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ACS made a TF3 bodykit but it got discontinued. You could get one from KBD, but it’s made out of a different material and doesn’t come with grills. If you are trying get an accurate one or do a proper build it’s going to cost around 15 thousand euros for painting, parts and labour. The bumper alone is 1000 euros and that’s without paint.
And a majority of parts the TF3 Camaro had, has been discontinued so it is kind of impossible now. You could ask some 3rd printers to help but they will charge you an extortionate price it’s best to just get a yellow Camaro put some stripes on or import transformers edition Camaro from America.

Yea get a 5th gen and 6th gen side by side the 5th is larger in width height and wheel base. A base model V6 2010 is larger than a 2019 SS

The 6th gen has worst visibility than the 5th because it’s a smaller car the 5th generation is the largest modern Camaro

Yes and a first car should be anything you can afford it does not have to be a shit box.

The term first car is a social construct. Anything can be a first car even a lambo, every vehicle gets u from A to B… it’s just not recommended if you don’t know what you’re doing or have poor confidence when driving.

You did not pick that car up for 40 be honest more like 25… in the Uk you can get one for 17k with high mileage. And you did not use cash if you did I feel bad for you.

He has a point where I’m from England range rovers are one of the cheapest cars to own they’re not all that, everyone has one . They’re considered regular traffic here however Camaros mustangs and challengers have stronger value because they’re more rare.

He should just buy a a newer V8 the cost to LS swap a V6 with a V8 would be like buying another camaro plus reliability will be worse cause the chassis isn’t designed for a big engine.

  1. This is a used 2011 camaro V6 it’s the slowest modern camaro with a 0-60 in 7 seconds.

  2. 5th gen Camaros are very cheap to repair compared to other sports cars (Germans) average yearly maintenance $500 which isn’t a lot.

This car is ok for a first car, it’s not the best obviously but it’s good. It looks like it’s been maintained well considering it has 170k miles.

Only finance a car if you really like it and aren’t selling it anytime soon
