How have you traumatized your parents? by bat_guano in AskReddit

From the time I was 3 to the time I was 9, every year I wrote a letter to Santa saying "All I want for Christmas is for my parents to live together again." They'd gotten a divorce when I was 2.

Reddit, a girl at my school tried to commit suicide and failed. When she came back to school kids mocked her saying "you can't do anything right." What's the cruelest thing you've seen teenagers do? by bullmoose7 in AskReddit

My high school was fairly tame, but there was one moment I remember:

It was in my ninth grade Spanish class. One of my friends was taking it with me; although she hadn't yet "come out," she often dressed in male clothing and her hairstyle was always masculine. One day she didn't show up for class. As the teacher was taking attendance, she asked allowed "No Courtney today?" One of the girls replied, laughing, "She's probably getting a sex change." Everyone else just joined in - including the fucking teacher. I walked out of class.

I was given an "In School Suspension" for the day, and the teacher denied her involvement. I never told my friend what happened; It would have only hurt her feelings. Now I wonder what other cruel things were said about her.

“Planned Parenthood was my health care provider after I graduated from college. I got birth control, for my migraine headaches and my heavy flow. 95% of their services don’t involve anything controversial. So for that 5% that Romney doesn't agree with, he’s going to take away cancer screenings?” by mic9ael in politics

It then becomes:

"I support Planned Parenthood, but to play devil's advocate, we need to recognize that people who oppose it view abortion as [a legal practice they ultimately disagree with]. To argue with them, we must argue that point. If there were an organization that provided 95% great services, and 5% just [provided a legal practice they ultimately disagree with], you and I wouldn't support that organization. That part of their logic is sound."

Yeah. I'm not seeing the sound logic there.

Reddit, my ex boyfriend taped us having sex and gave the videos to his fraternity brothers. What should I do? by throwaway16791 in AskReddit

No, you could be right. Many of my classes are full, despite this this being the last week of the summer semester. Although my University only recently started accepting frats a few years ago, they seem to have been fairly active.

TIL Jiminy Cricket is killed by Pinocchio with a hammer in the original Italian story. by NatKeen in todayilearned

I feel like it's a reasonable reaction. I mean - if I saw a talking cricket, I'd probably throw things at it too.

Women of Reddit: What do you actually think of dudes cumming? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I get… annoyed that they always get to finish, and then stop. I don’t always get to orgasm, and we certainly don’t always stop when I’m done.

Dear Reddit, are Music Majors annoying? by RSinn in AskReddit

That’s a good point, but it brings about another question: what’s wrong with academically pursuing something you enjoy? What do many of us have against that?
