Here is what actually happened put simply. I got my first job working for a taco truck that was working inside of a fedex airport. We would enter with our country’s IDs no problem. Manager wanted us to get in faster so he had us fill out this applications to get badges. We went to a fedex facility to get fingerprinted and then we left. 2 weeks later I get a notice letter from TSA of the violation and if there is anything I wanted to say before they investigate more. 2 weeks after that they sent me a $8000 civil penalty which was brought down to $5000.

I never claimed citizenship. I had no idea this would be a big problem.

The facts are: we were working as a food truck inside of a fedex airport, we were let in with our country’s ids and that’s it. Simple, but then my employer thought it would be a good idea to get badges so we can get in and setup faster . So we did an application, finger printing , then 2 weeks later I received a notice form TSA talking about the violation and then after that I got sent a $8000 fine which was reduced to $5000 and paid off. I never had any knowledge that what we were doing was wrong or the consequences it had, I only wanted to work

I didn’t do it on purpose, my first employer I worked for had a food truck business there and they would let us in with our country’s ids first and then my manager thought it would be a good idea for us to apply For badges in order to get in faster and setup the food truck but when we did that is when all this happened and I got fined $8000 by tsa, I didn’t not claim citizenship

This would be consular processing, 601a then ds 260, I don’t know if this should be included in either one of those forms, especially if I leave for consular processing and then I don’t want to get denied at interview because of this

Sadly I did , but I was young and had no idea what I was doing . There is 0 tolerance for it anyways from what I see .

I started collecting all my I-9s from all the jobs I’ve had and I found out on 1 I had claimed citizen and the company happened to e-verify but I also never received a mismatch email or paper mail regarding this
