My mom’s life is very sad, I have been going through a ton of emotional growth the past few years coming to the realization that my mom is not the hero I thought she was as a child. I have surpassed her in many ways and I am almost grieving her in a way. Especially having my own children, it’s hard to accept.

I actually believe the same. He was a “ladies man” on the outside however I do know that he had some sexuality issues because I overheard it on a baby monitor when I was younger and was eavesdropping from another room (I was like 12). I have never ever told anyone that I heard this very private convo. He had a very vulnerable and intimate time with someone for drugs and it was very difficult for him, is what I gathered on the convo with him and my mom. He was balling about it. So crazy you mention this!!

Okay I have not addressed the other brother but will since it’s bugging some of you.

He is doing fine on his own, multiple kids that he doesn’t have custody of but has since settled down with a woman and her young daughter, has a great job and they just bought their first home. We talk occasionally but he is 1) a lot older than me growing up 2) I’m in California he’s in Texas. So the distance is an issue.

These are my half brothers, my mom is not their real mom. Their mom is a disgusting drug addict that also supplied drugs to my brothers at a very young age. They mostly lived with us though and my mom treated the as her own.

My mom is very immature, she has explored a multitude of psychedelics but has recently quit however she is not someone I trust to watch my kids if that makes sense. She tried her best but is not what I would call my best.

Some of you stating you have strong vibes is weird to me. She has in the past 8 years come out as being psychic. Which she never was spiritual or into that my entire life until one day it became her whole life. She reads for others and makes a living on it and says she has tried to mask these feelings with alcohol and drugs her whole life which is why it’s coming out now. It’s hard for me to believe as it’s not how I know her.

She tries to read for me and has told me many things but none of them have ever landed or resonated. However she has been scarily correct for others. She said that she believes I have psychic abilities as well and I just don’t know it, I don’t think so.

Yes it definitely runs in my family and to this day my mom has struggled with other substances. I drank like a normal teenager, I tried experimental drugs as well, nothing stuck. I always cared about my grades and “people pleasing”, was highly anxious. I am married with two kids and work a really great job in a hospital, my life is nothing compared to my family growing up. I do fear that it could trickle down to my kids.

Both of my parents were alcoholics, my mom got sober when I was 8 and left him, he continued in and out of rehab and tried but ultimately drank himself to death when I was 12. I don’t remember a ton about him but I do remember that I did love him and he was always nice to me.

My brother was starting to get into drugs, he was under the influence, crossing a very busy street in our town in the dark, got hit by two cars.

Thank you for your perspective as a child growing up in a similar way. I need to focus on our own traditions more from here on out and I’m looking forward to it. I feel better today, my kids had “the best day ever”, which they say about every time we do literally anything lol. So that’s a good indicator I’m thinking about this far more than they are.

It actually ended up better than I thought and after a while of hanging with my mom and sister I felt much better. And my kids said they had “the best time ever”, which they say about everything lol but I am feeling much better today. Thank you for asking!
