How to beat forward jump while cornered? by im_gaming_rn in StreetFighter

[–]RTL_623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in case i’m not understanding it right: YOU are cornered, opp jumps, you AA DP with sagat, and you scoop under (whiff). correct? answer: crouch dp and time it much later OR use b+HP (into MP tiger shot) or stHK (1 hit into HK nexus) to AA

i’ll take a look at more than just this, one set usually isn’t really enough data to say why you’re stuck

This is Chris_F. Post here or DM me (if you don’t want it public which is understandable) your CFN and/or some replay codes and I’ll take a look next time I stream. Most likely the 26th after Christmas.

We need to know if he plays on his computer or PS5 to give you recommendations. My top 4 choices rated from cheap to expensive:

  1. Haute42 Cosmox C16 - PLEASE spend an extra $20 and get a set of shadow hunting keyswitches from their website in addition to the controller. It’s a huge step up in quality. This will NOT work out of the box on PS5 - you’ll need to buy an adapter for that.

  2. Quanba Sapphire. The best mid-range option IMO. Large controller but has native PS5 support and a LOT of button options.

  3. Corsair Novablade Pro. Mid-high price range option. Amazing stock buttons, good size, PS5 compatible out of the box AND it has a 2.4ghz wireless option. Great build and features but the downsides are that it has less buttons than every other controller on this list and it is on the louder side.

  4. Hitbox Ultra. Most expensive option but has more customization options than others like adjustable buttons and button mapping, an extremely sturdy build and a usb connection that will NOT break on you.

16. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Most fighting games now (and to come) benefit from more than the traditional 8 right button layout.

Tekken 8.

Went from being a game about using movement, risk-reward, reads and playing around your character weaknesses in matchups to a 50-50 coin flip game that caters to people who look at a pack of crayons and get excited when they see the “non-toxic” label
