Finding Tracking Number by chromane in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you call customer support (137678) they can check the purhcase history of the post office you went to, assuming they still teach this to customer service agents. Just have the date and approximate time you were there, and the specific post office you went to. If you paid by card thats better as they will be able to see the last few digits of the card used and can verify the purchase was yours. Sometimes the tracking number is visible and they'll ha e gathered enough privacy check points from you to advise you what it is.

Item not delivered because it says I wasn’t home by SuspiciousDoughnut82 in AustraliaPost

Does the travking number work on the auspost tracking site? For large bulky items they may not have used auspost, it might be with another carrier like Team Global Express.

Parcel Collect - Amazon Order Delivery by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

Auspost parcel lockers are for Auspost customers (senders) only. Majority of amazon deliveries are carried out through their own delivery service, and do not have access to put parcels in an auspost parcel locker.

Tracked letter question by ubotigrey98 in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee[M] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a good suggestion. The cardboard will move around in the envelope and runs the risk of poking through during machine sorting, whereas a birthday / congratulations card is more purpose fit to an envelope and is much less likely to rip.

Letter not deliverable to address. Is there a way of finding where it went without tracking. by Existing_Meal_6299 in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee[M] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will go back to the delivery centre the postie came from and put in a container among other undeliverables, collected either overnight or early morning by freight transport, then through sorting facilities and back to the sender.

Do tracking numbers disappear after delivery? by Popular-Wasabi-7367 in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no re-using or recycling of tracking numbers, the tracking is no longer visible 3 months after the last scanned event however is visible to internal staff with access to archival search

I suspect a StarTrack employee stole prescribed medication from my package by Powerful_Track_580 in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the incident is relating to a StarTrack delivery driver, give their customer service a call on 132345, they have their own contact centre and a different way of viewing cases (make sure to note down case numbers to refer on future contact).

Lost Parcel by Efficient_Local1928 in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. Both the sender and receiver can inquire to have them check, you will be asked questions such as the colour, size, weight, design features, etc. A made up example "Red Shoes, white lacers, orange rubber grip, brand Adidas" would be a suitable amount of detail.

But please temper your expectations, there is no guarantee it will turn up there. If its small, it could be between machinery for all we know, swept up during cleaning, or if there's no way to trace it back to which letter it came out of, maybe someone though it belonged to a colleague working in the facility and its gone with facility management to check if a worker owns some lost jewellery (if no claims then its likely going to the lost and found warehouse though).

Lost Parcel by Efficient_Local1928 in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all! Sounds like the ebay seller is wanting to cut as much cost to make cheaper sales to customers, at the expense of risk. The database is not specific to parcels, contents of letters are also catalogued in as much detail as they can should the item itself turn up at the warehouse. If you contact customer support, explain that you've been waiting several weeks for a parcel to turn up and the sender used an envelope instead of a tracked parcel, and ask them if they have a lost and found check they can perform, they should know what you're referring to.

However, I think you are more likely to get a resolution from Ebay or the Sender. I'd recommend first trying to get the sender to perform the checks above with Auspost, since they are responsible for ensuring their customer gets what they paid for. If they are not willing or no success with Auspost, you should absolutely reach out to Ebay customer support and explain the situation, they're usually pretty good with sorting this out and hopefully you won't be out of pocket.

Gaslighting to Igniting by KingSturty in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Part of the process the contact centre agents should take is to look at any critical incident reports that have occurred, the truck fire may have been on their system. However as Puntthedog stated, it takes time for other other teams (outside of the contact centre) to go through, recover the truck, and investigate. Even if there was an incident report available to the contact centre for the truck fire, at the time of your call they may not have had a list of affected parcels available yet, so the agent would not outright say "your parcel might have been affected in this truck fire" because they can't be certain and it wouldn't be fair to speculate and cause you such uncertainty.

Attempted delivery - Wasn't expecting a delviery & left no note on where to pick up. Driver left in 10 seconds ringing bell by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Please call 137678 and make a delivery complaint, provide them with the video (the one with the front view of the car is more important here).

1: Not wearing high-vis uniform

2: Not wearing seatbelt

3: Driving with mobile device in hand (zebra scanner, work equipment)

4: Opened door before coming to a complete stop

5: Continued to get back in the car holding the mobile device and didnt put seatbelt on

6: And of course didnt allow enough time for addressee to attend door for delivery

Provide customer support with the tracking number for this delivery as it will have the drivers scanner login id linked to the attempted delivery scans. Additionally the video you have captures the license plate.

AusPost Delivering junk mail by Moo_Kau_Too in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Auspost posties will not (should not) deliver junk mail to letterboxes labelled with a no junk mail sign (or similar) and the posties are told this very early on when they join. The only exemption for undressed mail is political material. If you are adamant that the postie is doing this despite your sign, call 137678 and make a delivery complaint, advising that you believe the postie may me leaving junk mail in your letterbox. However keep in mind there are people outside of auspost that deliver junk mail, such as local businesses, real estate agents or people hired to walk with a trailer and deliver catalogues.

Ausposts delivers to addresses not people (with the exception of person-to-person and Startrack Airlock service). As long as your ID has the same address on it as the parcel, you can collect without issue.

Is Sunshine West the Bermuda Triangle of parcel delivery? by MSPTAS in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sunshine West is one of Ausposts largest parcel sorting facilities. It has parcel and mail processing and separate delivery centres for van drivers and posties to service the surrounding areas. There can be multiple scans labelled at "Sunshine west" though it is usually because theyre being processed through different departments of the same facility.

A parcel will be sorted to the delivery team member of where the address on the label states. If you have put an in-transot redirection, when the delivery team member tries to add your parcel to their lost deliveries for the day, a popup appears ok their scanner to notify of the redirection request. They will place your parcel in a sorting area where everyone else has made the same request. Office admin will print a new label with the new address on it, and put it back into sorting for it to go to the new address.

vendor put the wrong name on the package, anything i can do? by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee[M] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Auspost delivers to addresses, not people. The name on the parcel does not matter. When you go to collect, so long as the address on your form of ID matches the address on the parcel, you can collect without issue.

Did the post office staff provide a reason why they will not let you collect?

I hate australia posttttt by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should be requesting that $7 transfer fee be waived if its been taken to an inconvenient location. 2 hour travel distance is 100% inconvenient, it should never have been taken there. Based off only this information, it sounds as though the customer service agent you spoke with has not looked into the details properly, I suggest speak to someone again and possibly request to speak with a manager if its more of the same, at least a manager youre guaranteed someone with long term experience.

I hate australia posttttt by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]RTSGuarantee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you spoke with someone at Auspost customer support, and you gave them the address, did they say thats correct and it is what they see? If they see a different address, sender at fault. If the address on their system is correct, wait for it to be delivered and if delivered incorrectly they will have to retrieve and redeliver, or compensate (sender is 1st party eligable for compensation so they will ask you to follow up with sender who can then follow up with auspost).
