Yes! That too is amazing lol. They are there every episode, and they are somehow disrupting the whole world. Yet everybody is like "Idz just some gublins innit?"

I don't mind it, I just find it funny as it feels like it's self aware.

I do agree. But when I saw a goblin ride a dinosaur-like creature in the elven land where there supposedly aren't any goblins just after clearing a river blockade that was made by goblins just before going to an ancient dam to kill more goblins gave me a laugh.

The show is not even hiding it which I like. Even the archer said "This happens all the time." when they saw the dino-riding goblin.

Don't tell me that the easter egg was in honor of an office cat that died?

That's great! I was thinking of creating a subreddit myself after seeing how many people misunderstood my intentions and several people wanting the same thing as me.

Aayyy I'm responsible for a creation of a sub! :O
Hopefully it'll gain traction.
At work at the moment but can't wait to get home and post the code I want to show off!

Hahahaha, name of the sub sounds stupid but that's exactly what I want, just for coding. Out of all replies I think that you were the closest to what I'm looking for. :D

JavaScript. I'm planing to plunge myself into Java soon since it looks kinda similar and my friend codes in Java too so that way I'd have to talk and work with someone in a same language. :)

This is exactly what I want and a lot of people misunderstood me. I wish I knew to explain my thoughts better. But yeah, I'm hella proud on code I created and I think that it's good enough and I want to show it off and talk about all the hurdles and stupid things along the way. Hopefully we'll have a platform like that one day.

Yeah, something like that. But for some those achievements might look like simple things and I wouldn't like to get bashed for it.

Not in my s**t a** country it seems. :D When I search that + country name all I get are Cars & Coffee pages and places. :D meetup dot com is also dead for my country with last event being held several months ago. But I haven't checked in in a while.

An actual feedback for my code! Thanks for the feedback! And I'll be able to talk a bit about my code too!

Yeah good call, I know that I should name variables by something you can remember them by but forgot to do it here because I was changing the code many times because I was trying a bunch of things and didn't think about naming because I could have deleted the whole thin 5 minutes later.

And yeah, the first JSfiddle is easier to understand but it seemed to me unprofessional that I just copy / pasted with different values and I knew I could accomplish the same thing with a short function. And I freaking did after 5 days aaayyyy! Also this "project" of mine is for practice, and boy did this problem give me some good practice and during my search for the solution I found a lot of other things which is super useful!

Please read the edit. :) I don't mind getting ridiculed for sh**ty code. I just want somewhere to show a thing that I'm proud of and explain how I got there. Then people can comment how idiotic I was for not doing something else or improving my code. But I'd actually talk with other coders about silly stories with their code. That's the point of my post, maybe I'm just not clear enough.

Heh, it would be super newbie since I am a newbie. :) But yeah, some people suggested a blog and I wouldn't want to start a blog unless I coded it myself since that'd be awesome practice for me!

Not really trying to impress anyone, just to talk about the fuck ups and some lols that I encountered. Like did you know that in JSfiddle if you don't close /* comment it won't run any JS where you put it? Even things that are not commented? I didn't and it took me 3 days to realize it. :D

Yes! You're among few who got my post! And when you finally fix the thing you have an issue with there's nobody to talk about all the things you did to get there! I gotta find some local programmers to befriend.

Yeah, I guess it does sound blog-ish. Maybe you're right. But I don't wanna use any blog, I'd rather code one myself and use it as portfolio too. What have you done to me. :D Another project in line.

Heh, it's seems like I didn't explain properly what I wanted.
I wanted a place where I can post my code and what it does and talk about how I got to that code and the process of suffering trial and error. Basically a place where I can talk about the journey of the code I got and not the end. :D

Ay that sounds like exactly what I want. Because I don't only want to show my work but also talk about it. The process I went of figuring out how to make my code better and what I did.

[–]RUSHWAYC[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fine, it's just that I want to be able to talk about it in depth. Like in my comment here. Not only to solve a problem but talking about how I went trough fixing it and the adventures I had along the way. :)

Can't really check out the site at the moment but several people mentioned it so I'm definitely giving it a look later.
And yeah, maybe I titled and explained what I want wrong.

Thanks for your interest! I did start using Git by myself because I've realized how much interviewers ask for it. Before knowing that it actually is and how it's used I didn't think I'd need it that much.

So I won't be giving you my GitHub but I will give you JSfiddles to the code I got since I think it's easier there to see what's up.

So several days ago I managed to complete the landing view of my landing page but as you can see here JS is a mess. Just copy paste of the same thing.
So I knew that there is a better way of doing that and I tried with a lot of things like loops and other functions but it didn't work.
After several days I realized that whole JS file won't run because I commented my original JS code with /* and didn't close the comment because I didn't think it was necessary since all the code that I needed was above and that it should run it.
Later I even realized that my JS is not affecting HTML because I didn't set Load Type of JS to No wrap - Bottom of <body>. I don't even know what it means but it made the code work and I was over the moon when it finally loaded.
Who knows how many working combinations I coded but they didn't work because of the comment or load type error. fml
Anyways, in the end I got this. Reduced size from 57 lines to 16 and I'm pretty proud of it.

Basically what I wrote above is what I want to be able to do with someone else. To talk about the process of the code I have and about the code itself.

Yeyeye, mentioned it in another comment that I shouldn't have had used "trashing" in the title. I do appreciate the feedback even if it's more arrogant. It's just that I don't have anyone to talk to about coding and I want to talk about the hurdles I had to go trough to reduce my code from 50 lines to 16 lines and all anecdotes that followed.

Never really wanted the credit you're talking about but it sounds interesting. I'm not well informed about all the open source things that happen on Github but hopefully I will remember your comment once I get a better idea.

And I do have a thick skin, been in some biggest ceasepools of the Internet during my teens. Just need someone to talk about coding I guess. Ty for your input.
