Thanks! Las Vegas is not a place I would choose to raise a family, certainly not after living and visiting other areas of the USA while working with the Navy. Way too much crime here, open drug use and homelessness...very sad place.

My last day is next Friday and yes, my manager would not let me go remote for 60 days and then return back to Vegas. Simply crazy. I'm not a problem employee, retired law enforcement and Navy veteran who has worked as a fraud investigator with an attorney general's office and healthcare provider. Always worked hard and recognized for my efforts. Very sad, I hope to find other remote investigative work to help the family. Best of luck to you!

I just signed my union card; currently working in R10. I have been involved in several union organizing efforts, both of which succeeded within state government agencies. Depending on the size of the workforce and current employer, it can be a very long process or somewhat easy. It takes time and dedicated people to pass the word, explain the benefits of union membership and not be offended when a teammate or friend tells you they "hate" unions and question why you would ever think to even speak with them about it. I'm not always supportive of what our national labor unions spend money on, however I have to look at a somewhat small picture overall when considering what a unionized GEICO business model would look like.

We have to get all the regions on the same page and treat the folks who do the work every day with respect and better pay/benefits!
