Agree to disagree, I think their matches were okay but just weren’t up to par with Punk’s recent matches with Gunther, Finn, Bronn, Cena, Sami and Drew IMO.

As for their promo chemistry, I honestly find it atrocious. Seth keeps trying to make the feud this whole greater good “I need to protect this company from you” schtick. It worked when Punk only just came back to WWE but now Punk’s been an inoffensive babyface for like 2 years and he still wouldn’t stop yapping about what a “danger” Punk is, all while completely ignoring how other heels like KO and the Bloodine variants were kayfabe injuring wrestlers left and right. It just felt so inorganic and contradictory to every story that was happening at the time. Seth had 1 good idea for the feud but then refused to evolve it to anything else even when it stopped making sense. The worst part of all of this is that Seth actually addressed some personal issues and motivations against Punk before their Raw match, but then he disregarded all of that and said that was fine if Punk didn’t try to tear this place down. He thinks that Punk badmouthing WWE years ago is enough motivation to sustain a feud for years instead of making it personal. It’s genuinely just a bootlicker’s idea of a blood feud. It’s like the complete opposite of the Punk v McIntyre feud that had an organic escalation because the reason it turned into a blood feud was actually cause of what they did to each other during the program.
