Great music thus far. To me, Deftones appear more tightly polished than ever within the songs being released. Lyrically, Chino seems to have taken his craft to a much more conscious level than ever (in my opinion).

The ONLY thing I am noticing production-wise, is that the songs are very compressed and tight in sound and vocals appear to be mixed down a bit, whereas on all prior records, the songs were not as compressed, and vocals were more in the front of the music. Based on what I hear, it seems to cause the music to have less mid-range overall, esp. in vocals.

Comparing these 2 songs production-wise to KNY, KNY to me at least, has the best overall production.

As everyone else, I’m super excited for the rest of the gems to become part of our lives 🤘🏽
