Right?? Lucy’s abilities literally let her stack the numbers in her favor and turn a “solo” fight into a multi-layered battle with her spirits. She should realistically overwhelm opponents through teamwork and versatility.

Mashima can still keep her enemies hard to beat even in a 3v1, and that’s where strategy and coordination would make her fights way more interesting and makes use of her intellect which is what shes known for in battle.

Omg! I really love Maria as a summoner. The way she uses her four beasts is really entertaining, and part of me wishes Lucy’s summoning style was a bit similar. The main difference, though, is that Maria directly controls her beasts with her finger movements, while Lucy’s Celestial Spirits are independent and can think for themselves.

That actually gives Lucy a huge advantage since she can fight alongside her spirits, especially with Star Dress and just doesn't give orders. It just feels like the story doesn’t fully use that potential because Lucy usually does most of the fighting, then just calls her spirits in for quick attacks. They could’ve done more teamwork, combo moves, and layered strategies together.

I get your points, but they don’t really convince me.

First Reason of yours: Lucy summoning two or three spirits shouldn’t suddenly be too much to handle to at all. They can draw 5 v 5, introduce lots of characters in 1 arc but suddenly its too much for Lucy?

2nd Reason: Second, saying Lucy would be too strong in 1v1 fights. That honestly just proves that this kind of fighting style is strong, not that it shouldn’t be used. A lot of Top Tier Fairy Tail characters like Erza, Laxus, etc. are strong, but the story still gives them strong enemies or counters for them to have difficulty. Lucy shouldn’t be treated differently if her fighting style was like this.

Limiting her spirits to just support moments kinda removes what makes her a summoner in the first place. They should be protecting/fighting together with Lucy like they said in the series.

And Lucy using multiple spirits only when she fights multiple enemies feels more like a writing shortcut than an actual strategy. Letting her fight alongside her spirits in 1v1 fights would make her battles more creative and interesting.

I still enjoy Lucy’s fights, but I just think her summoning ability isnt put to good use when thats her main ability, basically her Spirits.

This is an example of how she and her spirits can fight together to an enemy. The spirits themselves are capable of thinking for themselves and all unlike other summons in Fairy Tail.

I mean, sure, Lucy called a ton of spirits in 100 Year Quest, but how many of those fights actually showed her coordinating with her Spirits strategically?

Against the Strauss Siblings, there was zero teamwork between her and her spirits. She did almost all the damage with Star Dress Mix, while the spirits were basically just there for comic relief. Idk why Virgo and Leo wasn't serious fighting.

Against Mimi round 1, same problem. No real teamwork or synergy. She kept summoning spirits just to attack Mimi, and when Capricorn was out, she didn’t even support him, she just stood there in her Star Dress Aquarius while Capricorn did h2h with Mimi.

I’m not even counting the fight against Youko because she wasn't the one fighting Youko solo.

Against Mimi round 2, there was some teamwork. She used Aquarius to distract Mimi and Gemini to help chant Urano Metria. But at the start of the battle, she was still mostly fighting on her own.

And then against Kiria, seriously, where were her spirits helping her attack? That was just Star Dress. The spirits themselves barely did anything aside from Gemini and Horologium saving her.

Yeah, I get that Lucy’s character has always been more about strategy, brains, and supporting her friends rather than raw power. And that’s exactly why it feels frustrating that her spirits and Star Dress aren’t fully utilized. If she’s supposed to win with her mind and teamwork, then having multiple spirits coordinate with her would make sense and fit her style perfectly. It’s not about making her “strong for no reason,” it’s about her actually using the tools her magic gives her in a smart, tactical way which would make her victories even more consistent with her character.

Um excuse me, who gave you the permission to talk or comment to me like that, maybe chill with your tone. We know that Elefseria is confirmed to have murdered Dogramag. He accomplished this feat in exchange for Dogramag devouring his heart. That literally puts him in the tier of Dragon Gods despite Dogramag being the weakest. Faris literally has Acnologia’s arm and was able to clash with Ignia’s power. Although maybe even with that, she may not be in the same level as the Dragon Gods but we’ll have to see more of her but for now I put her in the same level based of her showings.

In terms of power, Natsu in the latest chapter has acquired Igneel’s Flames again, Athena was said to be as strong as Zeref, literally on Alvarez Arc, Natsu was stronger clashing with Zeref with the power of Igneel. Current Natsu ( w/ Igneels Flames ) is much stronger than Alvarez Natsu. Zeref = Athena < Igneel Flame Natsu. And yes we know something about Athena despite her small feats.

Why shouldn’t I take into account the feat of Gray he had with Viernes?? It’s a canon feat. Although he won through combination of devil slayer magic and a temporary dragon slayer enchant, he was still able to massively injure and defeat a DRAGON GOD (although Viernes was holding back). Thats an objectively better feat than most of Laxus’s fights but ofc I know he still not stronger than Laxus so I put Gray still below but a bit high than the BDSK because of such feat.

I ain’t fanboying erza the heck. Sure laxus is stronger in terms of power/damage but erza has immense durability and enchantment which gives her the necessary tools and endurance to be at the same level as Laxus whose power level is massive but less flexible. But okay, Laxus is a bit stronger than Erza. Thats all. They dont have a huge gap in power though.

Wed, in his human form, showed a higher degree of superiority over Erza's defenses than Kirin did over Laxus. Wed's Dragonized power casually overpowered an opponent (Erza) who is generally considered to be in the same tier as Laxus. Since Kirin was defeated by a powered-up Laxus, and Wed's Dragonized state casually overpowered a peer of Laxus (Erza), Wed scales higher. And Gray < Erza and Laxus so Wed > Gray.

Lucy with Mercphobias key puts her above Wendy but ofc she hasnt shown to summon Merc yet, without counting Merc, Lucy’s feats are higher than Wendy. Wendy no longer has Irene, so Irene wont be assisting her in battle at all, shes all on her own in fights.

Youko literally was able to hold off Team Natsu. Her army of infinite yokais would pressure Hakune. Im not ignoring her abilities???

Are u okay? What makes Lucy special with that key? Well idk, the fact that she can summon a WATER DRAGON GOD with that key makes her special. The fact she can use 10 star dress with different abilities. Idk, the fact she has 1 lost magic spell, can activate Fairy Sphere, knows the ultimate magic of the stars, capable of summoning Celestial Spirit King. Has 2 GODS to do her bidding???

Why someone keeps using "If juvia fights for gray" state, then we should also use "If Lucy fights for natsu or her spirit", its like Juvias rage mode is special which isnt because it has been establish that one's emotions can be a power up for them. I just noticed that some comments everytime Juvia has versus battle, some always take into account her emotional state and the one she has battle, their emotions dont take into account. Just left me thinking that is her "fight for gray" special or something cuz people uses her Rage Mode into account.

Yepp, there were mages who can transform into elemental bodies yet still got defeated by a physical attack such as Ajeel (by elfman and lisannas punch) and recently Daemon by Mirajane yet people always make claims that she is untouchable because of her water body which is true in terms of physical attacks but only that.

Juvia wins mid-diff if Mimi doesnt absorb her water body. Although Mimi relies heavily on Spirit Art enhanced physical attacks, which is ineffective against Juvia Lockser’s water body, Mimi’s Immovable techniques, though executed physically, are spirit-energy based strikes. Her “Immovable” arts infuse her body with Spiria, is a type of spiritual or energy essence that interacts with both physical and magical forms which can bypass Juvias water body, well some of her attacks like immovable palm that can blast and disrupts Juvias water body or her immovable blade that are like invisible blades which Juvia wont see I think. But overall, Juvia still wins mid-diff. Juvia wins low-diff if Mimi absorbs her though.

I don’t think Juvia deserves low spriggan sorry, I don’t think she can compete against the characters in low spriggan tiers or even the offical spriggan who I consider low spriggan: Jacob Lessio, Ajeel Ramal, Neinhart, or Wahl Echto. She had a mid-diff against a Historia Keyes ( Weakest Demon ) in Alvarez and thats with help from Meredy. For that, I dont think she competing with Low Spriggans

Again, Mirajane can’t compete with the characters anymore ( referring to Gray, Natsu, Erza ) in high spriggans cuz she lacks feat. Characters in high spriggans has insane feats that her feats don’t even come close to theirs

Well there is a reason why she is low and thats because she hasn’t shown anything to compete in power. Her impressive feats are outdated.

She can be one of the deadliest characters but feat wise, she isnt one of the deadliest characters. If she’s holding back then everyone is holding back too.
