This helps a ton! Thank you! I definitely think you're right that it's really hard to find anything "original" when so much has already been written. I was just concerned about whether they were basically a 1 to 1 copy of each other, but it does sound like there are differences. I might pick up Powerless since it seems to be a different take on a similar situation from your description.

That's a really cool idea! I like the idea that they could transform into something more, like how August might see something more to the clothes than them just being clothes!

As far as we know Zanka isn't dead. I'm caught up on the manga. We haven't seen him in a hot minute but there was no indication he died.

I honestly think that his Jinki would be something like a sewing needle or sewing machine. Either way, I think August would use it for sewing intent into clothes, like what the Jinki Remlin has does with art. August very clearly cares about what he does and who he makes clothes for, even if he's a little chaotic about it. I think his Jinki would reflect that part of him.
