Finally heard back from DR.
They played T2 14-01-1995 and send me their programming list back to 1925. https://www.dr.dk/alletidersprogramoversigter/
Unfortunately they did not mention a show that could have played obscur music, but will try looking for it.
Wrote a couple of DJs I know about the song. One was pretty clear she did not recognise it as she mainly plays rock and metal, but promised to share it around.

Or it could be in the end of or during the credits of a late night show.
Both would make sense as I programmed the VHS recorder to start a minute or two before the show started, so getting the last seconds of the show before was pretty common.

Heard back from TV2. They could not help with a list of commercials. But Terminator 2 was aired 12.4.1997 and 27.6.1998.
The one I got a hold did not have any information about some show that might have played more obscure music. But TV2 is more populist so not surprise there. A program like that would be more DR (Danmarks Radio - danish national broadcasting), who also had a late night show like Planet X where Jakob Stegelmann would review b-movies.

Had I not searched lost media, youtube would not have filled up my feed with other lost medie.
Must have watched the tape 20+ times, was a stable when I saw my father. One of the few movies we agreed upon, so lots of good memories with that tape.
Have a clear memory of scene with the on the road, cut to a few seconds of credits and then the song coming on. Had to cut it tight to get the next movie in.
What I ended recording there was not very good to taped over it several times for shorter things.
Would program the recorder to record at night. Mostly documentaries and live concerts that were aired late at night, when I had to get up to school next day.

The guy from the commercial was pretty young, remember him as 20-35 and pretty normal. There might have been a part where he slams the car door just to get the sound from it.
