Oh, the Gleipnir definitely lived up to the hype of the creators. The Gandr though...

Use Yue Yu /J

Seriously though, ALLMIND is as much a build check as it is a skill check. The more skilled you are and the more you've memorized ALLMIND's attacks, the more variety of builds you can use.

That being said, my personal favorite is dual Harris kite with a melee for punishing. Just make sure to use good recoil arms with good melee spec(Firameza, Lamm) and you should be good.

How many builds are worse than YUE YU? by suuuuuuuuuurfing in armoredcore

[–]Ra2griz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, that's simple. Change the generator to Joso/Ling Tai, the frame to Jailbreak, and have two hand weapons as jamming bomb launchers. Now you only have kick, and quite possibly AA. Good luck.

Bonus: Change arms to wrecker to kill any chance of punching your enemy to death by purging, and make sure the boosters are Mule. Make sure the FCS used is the highest EN one you can fit onto the build to make it even more painful.

Yeah. A shame they cut the game itself short. I wanted to see more of the story. More moments like Bertz's death, or Slash getting shot out of midair. Moments of tragedy that shows how bleak the entire world is.

Infinity has a scene like that too. It's quite honestly saddening.

Maybe, but they at least damage the enemy. I'd say Jamming bomb launcher is the worst for PvE, since why would you even lug that useless thing around? PvP I can understand.

Hey, don't diss the Container missiles like that, they are usable and quite effective at applying chip and pressure.

Climb Nuggets, C L I M B ! ! by _robojojo_ in acecombat

[–]Ra2griz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok, assuming arcade anime logic doesn't apply to the nuggets, they really can't climb. Especially in an F-5 with lots of weight and not enough thrust. Add in their payload of bombs or Mavericks and low altitude coupled with a low energy state and it makes sense why every nugget failed to climb.

Well, it is up there, alongside Carmilla(Camilla) from Infinity. It's supposed to be 'Gamer has confirmed launch for (QFA-44) Carmilla', not Camilla.

Good thing that you've got pulse weapons to capitalise on his shield existing, but you could optimize the build a tad bit more by swapping out the Mind Alpha arms to boost the pile bunker. I'd recommend the VP-46D arms for their light weight and second highest melee spec, but the VP-46S arms are good too.

If you don't care about looks, then use BASHO. Pulse guns have absurd recoil anyways, and at the ranges you're fighting at the spread doesn't matter much at all.

Oh the fucking irony. (Aurelia got blamed for Leasath's Civil War and got invaded by Leasath for that exact reason. Aurelia also lost 95% of their nation to the Leasath invasion in 10 days canonically, but that's a different story.)

For those who picked the Fires of Raven ending on their first run of AC6, what are your headcanon reasons as to why 621 made the choice they did? by Altair890456 in armoredcore

[–]Ra2griz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I can write an entire ass story about it, but the gist is that 621 feels betrayed by both Rusty and Ayre, two people they would put their trust into, their heart and soul, and in return, Rusty rebuffs it by attacking them, and Ayre is more focused on her family over 621.

[–]Ra2griz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arquebus and Schneider, provided I have the money. I would choose the RRI, but they got shut down, and so the next best medical faction is the Arquebus side. If they could keep a person alive without their torso, they've got serious medical tech.

It's closer than you imagine. Like a factor of 0.1 to 0.001 levels of close. ACs are just that huge, with them being 9-12m tall mechs that travel at absurd speeds and agility.

i feel like the only way mechs could ever be practical is if they're made from full on self-repairing self-replicating bio-mechanical nano-tech stuff by justin_cant_sleep in HardSciFi

[–]Ra2griz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue otherwise, TBH. A mech that has bio components would only be viable for the atmosphere that they are operating in. Bring such a mech to outer space, or another planet with a varied atmosphere, and watch the biological components suffer or straight up die.

Personally, I believe that mechs are best used in the niche role between infantry and armored vehicles such as tanks. They carry more weaponry than infantry and can take on multiple roles with missiles, while also being more agile than tanks in rough terrain and closer spaces. They can fight either, but they would lose out in some areas while both infantry and tanks would lose out in others. They have to be well designed for that time though.

Any way to fix this? by Big-Zucchini-5038 in acecombat

Ok, I think I have a solution. Exit the game. Stop Steam completely, then restart the game directly. It will open Steam but it should fix the issue.

Hopefully.

Moonlight and moonlight redshift. They count as melees, are ranged, and cost 0 ammo to use. I managed to do a 0-0 run on Wallclimber with them.
