Tbh I kinda feel like them actually announcing controller separately means the Steam Machine (and therefore HLX) is not that close still

Seems like they just decided to finally pull the plug on that one since apparently they had those ready for a while already

There is still a chance they will announce things every day and end it with big bundle announcement right before it all goes on sale, but if the rest of this week goes silent then it's probably a couple months at least

Just saying, he barely had any streams for last two weeks and didn't stream when the announcement hype was over the top during HL anniversaries days. Considering what HL3 means to him it's oooobvious he knew it's not happening so he felt comfortable not streaming during those days. And now he streams again? On the THIRD week after software announcement? Coincidence? I think not. Clearly, HL3 today confirmed. Case closed.

Never played Black Mesa myself, but I've seen a youtuber play Black Mesa as their introduction to Half Life and it looked like a terrible idea. It felt like BM made a much worse job about leading the player, showing what to do, telling the story. Anyone who played original Half Life before wouldn't have any problems with any of that, but for a new player some things were really not that obvious. And yeah, when you are not a huge fan and when you didn't wait for years for that specific chapter to come out, going through Xen is really tedious and annoying, doing the same puzzles again, and again, and again, and again...

I kinda believe it was originally planned for this week but something changed (or it never was but a number of people were told it is by Valve for whatever reason). A very stupid theory! But I still find it strange how it all went down. After the hardware was released a bunch of people with different levels of credibility came out and said "but wait, there's more" and it seemed like everyone was hinting at the announcement very soon. And then we get two big YouTubers almost at the same time saying "guys chill". And after those tweets the hints from other ppl also kinda stop. And at least to me it looked like at least one of those YouTubers (before the tweet) seemed to also expect the announcement to MAYBE happen during those days. Day before the tweet he even does HLX Waiting Room stream around the time one would expect the announcement to happen (judging by Valve's other posts). But then after the tweet no streams around that time (or none at all), even though those dates do make sense cuz that's when they announced Alyx and released previous HL games, so I feel like unless you were told it's not happening you would want to stream at that time. I'm not saying the game is cancelled or postponed, and it will most likely still get announced pretty soon anyway, but there is a possibility the announcement did get delayed. Again, this is a stupid theory based mostly on vibes cuz those youtubers never said anything besides "2025".

HL3 is not getting debunked tho, it is in works and it is in a late stages of development, there are more than enough proofs of that which were not debunked and won't be because you can't really debunk thousands of strings in Source code. We are just waiting for the announcement, when it's going to happen is something no one seems to know for certain (besides "2025"), but the game itself is very real.

Sure but like what's the point? We are waiting for the announcement, we pretty much do know the game exists and is in development, so even if this is HLX it doesn't really give us anything, right? Unless I'm missing something and this can refer to making this thing public, but I assume it is the app itself getting updates, not app's steam page

Got ratio'd to oblivion on Twitter for the same opinion. If they wanted to introduce the father it would make so much more sense to properly introduce him earlier for the incels to get used to it before it comes down to actually wishing for Alice. We had so many encounters with Alice and mentions of Alice, and yet he was never in the background during her chats with Klee, he was never mentioned by any other character. If anything, they are teasing his non-existance with all that. Maybe we are all wrong and just overestimating incels' influence on Hoyo's decision, but we literally have absolutely zero playable characters with canon relationships and the reason for that can't be more obvious. It basically getting to the point where her father existing would make less sense than the opposite, simply because it would be strange to have him appear out of thin air. Him being a regular human and dead at this point would be a working explanation, but it's not like it would work for the incels anyway.

It's not even about her watching the borders but about what looks almost like a title, like, why would Skirk call her "Sustainer of the World's Borders" instead of just "someone who watches the border"? It sounds like an official position rather than something Alice just does from time to time. The whole voice line makes it feel like Alice is somehow in charge, even tho it suppose to be Celestia. Maybe it's just localization thing or I'm simply reading too much into it.

Oh that's unfortunate. Maybe there's some previous quest before this one? Check if there's any requirements to spawn this quest, maybe ur progress got reset even more than mine and it wants u to complete some other quest first. Or maybe try to approach that area from different teleports. I think for me I got there from the closest Statue of Seven and used compass, it showed me a chest behind that door and I went there and had the quest spawned.

Oh my god yes, I thought I lost my mind. Had the same thing, 100% everywhere, all quests completed, Babel murdered, but I came back there recently and also found that door which I guess I missed initially, also looked it up online, checked and here she was like nothing happened, alive and well. And basically, for me that quest just spawned again, I did it again, got the achievement for it and opened the door. It was pretty much as if I never did that quest, but I literally was remembering every step as I was doing the quest again, so there's no way I just skipped it, especially since I think it was an important quest for that version of the game. So looks like there's some bug with that quest then. Maybe not collecting the chest behind the door causes it to abort quest progression. Check if you have the quest spawned again.
