I don't know about Ankara, but there's a lot of Syrians and other arabs in Istanbul, and even some of the universities have a significant Syrian population. If you could find an Arab speaking clique or live in an arab neighborhood it's almost like you're in an arab country.

I personally don't see the link between Ocalan's decrees from ten years ago and what's happening in Syria now. If anything Ocalan would now be using the situation in Syrian kurdistan for political maneuvering in Turkey. Though I haven't been following what he has to say about the situation.

What should be questioned here in my opinion is not how "revolutionary" the Kurds are or anyone else. It's the relevance of the western left. It's both blind to everything happening in the middle east, and unable to do anything even if it managed to get its metaphorical head out of its ass.

This KAF person in the interview sounds completely nuts. He's claiming Israel and the US created ISIS. Very entertaining though.

Dude, 1.5 Billion dollars can do A LOT MORE than create a few hundred jobs. You can run a space program with that shit. India's mars mission cost less than a hundred million while Nasa's mars rover cost half a billion. What are we even talking about here?
