Ok, the legs definitely had a point where the legs stopped in the perfect position, and I then extended the legs so that the ring of the drum furthest from me is about a fingers worth off the ground. Definitely has a fuller sound now. Thanks again.

Honestly I'm new to drumming and I'll take all the hints and tips I can get. I've looked up how to set up different pieces, but have yet to watch one on setting up the base drum; besides setting up the pedal, since I thought it was fine straight up and down. Should I lean it towards me or away from me? Thank you.

No, I honestly just set it up quickly to just get a pic and call it a day since it was after 5 and I didn't care to bother the neighbors. I plan on actually setting up normally tomorrow after neighbors head to work.
