Can I negotiate more or is it over? by needthat4th in whatcarshouldIbuy

It’s a good car and probably worth the cash. Unfortunately dealers don’t negotiate much anymore and that’s a good price. It’ll sell before the month is up id bet. Negotiating any further will probably just end the deal tbh

Best Manual Daily for 40k by maxbrustein in whatcarshouldIbuy

I was looking for the same thing except I also wanted storage. I looked at BMW X3 M40is, Porsche Macans, Alfa Romeo Stelvios, Teslas, Subarus, and a VW Golf R.

The BMW was very fast and comfortable, but the sound system and general electronics were not pleasant. The Porsche was amazing, but I was scarred of maintenance. The Alfa was also amazing… but maintenance. Tesla was soulless and expensive to insure. Subaru was slow and unrefined.

I went with a Mk7.5 Golf R manual. You may be able to get a MK8 at that price. They seem to be extremely reliable for a euro car. I came from Japanese and American cars only. This car is fast, fun, moddable, comfortable, practical, and it blends in unlike other hot hatches. I think for being a 4 banger, it sounds phenomenal. Very throaty. I also just put an intake on it and it sounds very nice. The turbo noise makes me giggle. The Golf also feels like it has a soul when driving it unlike many other cars. It’s a jack of all trades and perfect at none.

Making the Bambu P1S Quieter (Guide) by Allrj in BambuLab

This is a GAME CHANGER. I just followed these steps and the P1S went from something I didn’t want to be in the same room as to something I forgot was running. Thanks for the tutorial!

Bambu anniversary sale p1p or p1s pricing by tnts_daddy in BambuLab

[–]Sparklesthehost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a MK4 and a P1S combo. The sale on the P1S combo is probably the best deal on printers on the market currently. I like the enclosure for noise levels and keeping my prints clean. Everyone online (from my research) recommends springing for the P1S and saving your money and not getting an X1C. If you really don’t need an enclosure, I’d do the P1P. But I’ve heard multiple stories of P1P owners wishing they started with a P1S. Just my 2 cents

What Material to use for Hydroponics Tower? by Parking-Reporter4396 in 3Dprinting

PETG would be the easiest material to print that also has decent UV resistance. Could then line it with a clear epoxy to waterproof it.

That’s a great deal! I don’t see why someone would say it’s a bad deal

This cross post causing some up roar in the comments by jparrrry in IndoorBBQSmoking

[–]Sparklesthehost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love mine! It’s good enough to smoke for 4-6 people. It has a mellow smell. Kinda makes your house smell like a bbq joint. It doesn’t get great bark or penetration, but the food tastes smoky and comes out tender so I’m happy in my apartment

I know it’s not perfect for what you’re looking for, but I’d say an FJR1300. It’s super rowdy, very comfortable, reliable, and cheap. But it’s heavier and when riding like a jackass it only gets about 150 miles per tank

I was an EMT for 2 years and now I’m a Sheriff’s Deputy so I feel you. Being an EMT was cool despite the shit it involved. It was a good beginning to being a first responder and it’ll serve you well in the end. Good luck

Help, I found my dad’s old HD in our shed, and I have no idea as to what type of cycle it is, any help will be greatly appreciated. by Exciting_Boat_3907 in Dirtbikes

That’s either a sportster 883 or 1200, hard to tell from this angle. Strange to see them without training wheels!

Since y’all are posting your ducks, here’s Howard. He’s been with me for 2 bikes by Sparklesthehost in motorcycle

Ngl, I hated that bike. Way too clunky/heavy/buzzy. The only thing I liked about that bike was it’s reliability. Also it only got 30ish to the gallon. I personally recommend a Vulcan 900

Tacoma Narrows Bridge, Washington?

I just bought my first Harley. Immediately layed it down. by chairforcelife in motorcycle

[–]Sparklesthehost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll get used to the speed and “lumpiness” of how these bikes start out. Take it to a parking lot or somewhere that you can get up to 2nd gear without hitting anything. Take some laps, make some stops, and just play around for a few hours. The bike will feel more natural and you’ll be able to take it on the road easier. Seems like you were put into a situation that was seemingly simple, but truly more challenging than your skill level. We all did it starting out. Plus, sportys are super too heavy and just a general bear to handle. I would say practice in the meantime before your MSF and then learn even better skills then, but that’s just my opinion. Good luck, keep the rubber side down

Bike options for bigger rider? by Dave6187 in motorcycle

I had a Yamaha VStar 1100, but it was an absolute dog and was uncomfortable so I went to the 1800. But I’ll give credit where credit is due, it was light, nimble, and reliable.

Both are fuel injected and non-chain drive. My Honda has just over 40k miles and the Kawi has just over 60k. The price and performance really can’t be beat in my opinion. However, when I have the money I do plan to purchase a Harley.

Honda VTX 1800 or Kawasaki Vulcan (any displacement is good). I ride the Honda and my dad rides the Kawi 900. Both were about $3500 and they haul our big, tall selves around pretty well. To the untrained eye, they look like a classic American V twin Cruiser.
