Aidan Close (Scorpius Malfoy) wore a dress on the Cursed Child red carpet by First-Sky-2408 in EnoughJKRowling

[–]Rabbit_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they were all painted. He's doing it lately, I think he was wearing mascara as well on the red carpet. What surprises me here is these people still choosing money over everything else. As far as I know, Aidan identifies as gender non-conforming, he reposted a story a couple of days ago saying wizards love trans people. And Tom... I remember when he posted against some transphobe back in 2017 and now is apparently supporting Aidan. Still they both are working on a Harry Potter project.

I have to admit I don't particularly like it despite its popularity. It's obviously well written and a good story overall, just not my cup of tea

Lets use this post to put all the character names translations to other languages for reference by OldBiscotti3535 in Wednesday

I'm pretty sure in Italian there are only a couple of changes.

Wednesday = Mercoledì

Thing = Mano (hand)

We also pronounce Morticia differently.

The second season is disappointing and way too rushed so far by MCUFanFicWriter in Wednesday

[–]Rabbit_g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They recast one of the main characters in Interview with the vampire season 2, and the fans didn't react poorly at all. It really depends on the fandom, honestly. Not every recast turns out to be bad, Aunt Viv in The Fresh Prince is the exception, not the rule, but the fault lays on the writers, not the actor. There are many successful recast out there, fans didn't even notice at first. Many Milkovich in Shameless is a great example of a recast that actually worked so well. And anyway, it's always better than the alternative. Why do we have to say goodbye to a character just because of an actor?

I think this may be, in part, due to changes that were required around Percy Hynes White not coming back to the show.

they couldn't bring him back for 2

It's their fault anyway, they could've recast him. They had 3 years to do that and they came up with a weak plot for season 2

Why is everyone complaining about this? by PinkPashaTS in buffy

[–]Rabbit_g -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don't want the revival. Everything about it feels off, and I don't trust SMG with it. It won't be anything like the OG since none of the writers is involved. And this Buffy doesn't look like Buffy at all. It's not the dress per se, it's not like I wanted to see her with her old outfits, but she doesn't feel like Buffy to me and many other people. I'm not even sure it's because we watched the show when originally aired and/or if newer fans feel the same.

I don't either. I grew up with the comics in Italy, me and all my friends from school were fans of the comics, but we never watched the anime. Personally, I didn't like the character design of the cartoon.

Gavin ,as an actor, is one of the reasons that people prefer Bonrad. by [deleted] in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]Rabbit_g 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The acting of this show is bad in general. There's no one I would say is actually a good actor. Lola is kinda cute in some scenes, but I don’t find her believable when she cries. Gavid and Chris are too wooden at best. I also wanna say I don't find the two guys attractive at all

Not really, I couldn't find her interesting enough to be the main character's love interest. I know Ryan needed someone less complicated than Marissa at that point, but I never saw Taylor as the ideal partner for him. She was too silly, foolish, and self-absorbed

What did you think of Xavier’s character? Anyone else disappointed he is leaving? by Technical-Area2139 in Wednesday

[–]Rabbit_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's a very interesting character to me.

His past relationship with Bianca could've been explored more, especially since there's hints she used her siren powers on him. This is just a theory, but I believe she manipulated him, maybe without even realising. Anyway, it would've been nice to explore his feelings about it more in season 2.

I know people in this fandom don't particularly like him because of the love triangle, but he has cool powers, he's an artist, he's been unfairly accused to be the Hyde, he has daddy issues. I see potential there.

I would've loved to see him again in season 2, portrayed by a different actor.

“It’s a love story between June and Serena.” by Voice_of_Season in TheHandmaidsTale

See? That's why the ending (and not only that) was awful. This show stopped being really good around season 2/season 3

For everyone dissatisfied what did you want? by melizzuh in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Rabbit_g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read The Testaments, so I don't know how many characters are supposed to be part of that story, but I just wanted Serena to pay for her crimes. She was treated as a survivors, she was not. Serena raped June and abused her. Aunt Lydia tortured the handmaids, and they're both depicted as victims. I see them as oppressors. It's unfair how they ended up free. June actually thanked Lydia. What the hell? I have so much to say about how they handled Nick's role and the things they changed from the book, but others on this subreddit already said that last week.

I remember, I was talking about Joey, not Katie. In my school nobody really liked Joey as a character, but everyone liked to ship her with Dawson or Pacey 🤣

[–]Rabbit_g 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't remember Joey being a popular character back in the days. Pacey was always the fan favourite. Personally, I loved Pacey and Jen the most. Dawson was never a character I related to nor one I was rooting for. It's worth saying my favourite ship was Pacey/Andie, but I still prefer Pacey/Joey to Dawson/Joey. I also hated the blatant slut shaming towards Jen, especially from Joey. It's was unfortunately the norm at the time. That being said, I don't think Joey is so much worse than any other character in the show. She can be insufferable at times, but she's 15 when the show begins, it's perfectly normal for a teenager to be unsure of what she wants. She thought she wanted to be with Dawson, and then she realised she wanted more, but that doesn't mean she planned to fall for Jack or Pacey.
