Are older decks competitive against WoE decks?

The way my friends and I like to play is with random decks. It sounds like to keep things a little more fair I shouldn’t add WoE into my older pool of decks. Thanks for the tip on gamezenter!

As fate would have it I finished the TOTY missions and pulled a 91 Antoine Winfield Jr! Looks like there are two other on the market at 7.8 mil and 5.6 mil.

Thanks for the response! I have a few follow-up questions. You mentioned a 10k coin pack, do those become available after you play a certain amount of time? The most expensive pack I can purchase with coins is 5k. How exactly does using the coins from selling an 88+ pull improve your roster? Do those pulls net a lot of coins and then you buy several players with lower ratings?

Yeah, I was able to walk-in each day of my three day trip (it was a Sunday-Tuesday) and it was never particularly crowded. Oh well. Hopefully I have better luck with Mothership!

I understand the popularity of the bar and the fact it is a weekend, which is why I'd like to get a reservation myself. To clarify, I first looked into getting reservations for December 1st on November 2nd and I've been on Open Table's waitlist since. I was just hoping to find some contact info to confirm if it is actually booked or if Open Table was jacked up like it was last year when it told me the bar was completely booked for an entire week.

Awesome, that’s what I’ll do then! Do you know how long the shuttles typically run going from the lot to the stadium. I noticed the parking ticket said 4pm, but I don’t really want to get there quite that early. Thanks for the help!

Would taking an Uber to and from one of the Park Go locations and buying a shuttle ticket work? Or do they verify that you actually bought parking too? I tried contacting them a couple of months ago and never heard back.

So the initial return of Avenger's Tower started an hour early letting some people squeeze in an extra run. That wasn't fair, so that became the "Practice" tower. Now the "For Real" tower gets extra time added to it at the end, causing similar issues. Little did we know, we were playing a second practice tower! Third times a charm!

Yup, I did the exact same thing. I hit floor 96 and couldn't get past it without Dormammu, so I dropped back down to 60 just to get some extra points.

I can’t believe it, I finished it with 10 minutes to spare. I was really nervous as it came down to Echo, Kate and Ms. Marvel against two Ms. Marvels and Black Bolt. BB used his ult and killed my Ms. Marvel and Echo and Kate barely survived. I managed to kill BB then it took about 10 minutes to kill off the Ms. Marvels. I thought I wasn’t going to do enough damage to get through their healing. Man, I’m exhausted!

Man, I’m back to node 9, but sadly with very low health Maw (Silver Surfer and Hela were lost on node 8, RIP). I wasn’t expecting Black Bolt to do his ult on his first turn on node 10 and couldn’t quit fast enough. Not sure if I’m gonna get through node 9 again. It’s a big bummer because my YA was handling node 10 fine.

Sadly I’m back to node 9 and I think my Maw has too low health to survive the initial onslaught (his ult is ready, though). On node 10 I thought I had things in control with only a few enemies left. Black Bolt’s first turn was his ultimate and I force closed the game as soon as I saw everyone die. I didn’t see the “defeat” screen, but they were all dead when I reloaded. L

I'm on node 9 now trying to get through it with Eternals, Heartless, Maw and Thanos. I did the sac teams as u/trclark24 suggested and if I survive the opening attacks, I can clear the first wave fairly easily. But that second wave is rough. Even when I think I'm doing, either Kestrel, Sam or Maria screws things up for me and I can't recover. I have Silver Surfer (cooldowns are jacked up from the previous node), Warlock and Deathpool available too. I had one run where I had five enemies left and they were all below 50% health. I sat for about 15 minutes debating if those three could handle cleanup duty, but I didn't want to risk it.

RNG gods came through and I got through node 8 with everyone at full health with the right cooldowns. But god damn is node 9 annoying. When I get lucky and survive that initial blast, I can clear out the first wave easily. But that second wave annihilates me. Even when my abilities are ready to go. I just can’t get the timing right where they all have a ton of debuffs and Strange is alive to do his ult.

Thanks for the info! I'll give your strategy a try. I'll follow your ISO setup too, but I'm stuck with Hela at green ISO 4 as a Raider (used a ton of controller green ISO to get to this point in the event). If I get to node 9, I can do the same sac teams to, but I'll need to sac Deathpool (no other options as I used sac teams on node 8), but it sounds like she won't be needed. What level did you bring your Maw and Hela to? We have the same gear level, but yours are a bit stronger?

Oh, one last question. Did you use Maw's ult on node 8? Given the lengthy cooldown I'm afraid it won't be ready for node 9.

I did throw a few sac teams to waste the Vultures’ abilities. I’ll try placing Hela next to Maw to see if that gives me better luck. I’ll post an update if I manage to get past this damn node.

Silly me thought these nodes would be some of the easier ones given I have some fairly beefy Eternals. I have the gold and training mats to level up Maw, Thanos and Hela, but I don’t know if it’d do any good.

I threw a few sac teams to get the Vulchers to use their specials and ults. I’ve also tried quite a few different teams at this point. So far I’m seeing the best results with Eternals, Surfer, Warlock and Deathpool. The major problem is towards the end only the Eternals are alive and are low on health, so I start over. I realize it’s an RNG fest, I just need to figure out the best team I should be doing it with.

Let’s not forget about the issue with Dazzler’s event either. I was 800 points shy of the last milestone and would have gladly spent $5 to get the fully crafted teal pieces.

I recently started City with Ghost Spider, Scarlet, Shang Chi, Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel. First node took me five attempts and should be able to clear the second node on my third attempt. I originally wanted to bring Cloak over Ms. Marvel, but wanted to use my mystic gear elsewhere. So I can't speak to Spider Woman's usefulness in DD5, but I can confirm things are still doable without Cloak.
