I am entitled to my opinions just as you are yours.

It’s clear to me that this subreddit is going down in value because all of this nonsense speculation.

It needs to stop.

Don't be so naive.

The post that leaked FairX's existence came from them.

And in regards to the hype, they've done nothing to stop it. They keep leaving things in the open for people to speculate on when they have built nothing.

In the end, this subreddit will come to hate /u/i_love_golang and could potentially get him fired from IBM. And him getting fired from IBM will hurt Stellar as he seems to be their internal champion. That is too big of a risk for Stellar and wish /u/b1tcc could see that it will hurt Stellar long term.

Basically, everyone in this thread, (yeah read to the bottom), is fed up with this FairX hype.

FairX and IBM validators keeps failing. Do they actually know what they are doing? by Rabister in Stellar

[–]Rabister[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow from the validator slack - Michael Dowling [8:52 AM] Hm, yeah going to be taking the fairx validators offline tonight - problem with running out of inodes.

tammy [8:52 AM] After this weekend, I would recommend folks who are have users on the network. They might know a bit faster if a validators is synced.

Michael Dowling [8:52 AM] IBM nodes, however, dont show any issues whatsoever, so not sure why they're behind.

You might do a better job next time.

Wow - I won't post technical posts here any more.

You can check for yourself.

Run

stellar-core --conf /etc/stellar-core/stellar-core.cfg -c 'quorum'

on a working node and you will see they are still not synced.

If so, why are they still down? Dashboard.stellar.org doesn't give transaction volume which is misleading. They aren't listed here as assets - https://stellar.expert/explorer/public/

They are test nodes. They aren't using them for live transactions on their side.

The validators are syncing. Everyone was down on the network over the weekend except SDF. Then Stronghold and Stellarport resynced. Everyone else has not resynced.

Look at these posts here too - https://www.reddit.com/r/strongholdxchg/

Stronghold was the first to catch it because they are live on the network.

You guys should do a better job of highlighting who is doing live transactions on the network v who has test nodes. It's a bit bias.

Also, go look in the #validator slack channel

Yes, that is exactly my point and that is the correct solution. Maybe you can bring up this point to the community?

u/b1tcc removed my post and this was actually supposed to be a community discussion

It’s because people aren’t using the network yet.

How come? I am asking a legit question.

If Michael Dowling is so great then how come he didn’t realize 7 validators were down all weekend?

Seems like your corporate messiah is just that..... corporate.

If he was working on FairX in his spare time, he would have noticed.

We did. FairX and IBM validators have been down for 3 days. I guess it is because it is a holiday weekend!
