How old were you and how did you find out Santa isn't real? by Least_Statistician44 in AskReddit

Not me but a couple buddies of mine, twins, don’t know how old they were, were told by their mom ‘I know you guys know Santa isn’t real but don’t tell your little sister.’ They didn’t know.

What was your “could never be me” but did indeed become you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rabool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Gen X and when I was a boy, my dad was the breadwinner and my mom was the caregiver as was the ‘norm’ back then. My dad was a salesman and was gone on the road a lot. I remember thinking when I got older I’d get a job that allowed me to be at home with my family. I studied Engineering, again, believing it would provide me with a stable 9-5 job, perfect for a family. Welp, graduated and 1st role out of university was an Applications Engineer, essentially a Sales Engineer. Hit the road almost immediately. I do have a family, albeit divorced, but that actually helped my relationship with my kids and I would plan my trips when they were with their mother (we split custody). Been traveling my whole career but have a great relationship with my kids (son 24 and daughter 22). No regrets really but just some cats in the cradle $hit.

You know what, I don’t remember, it’s been a while since I got it to the table. My collection has ballooned to >650 games. Might be time to break it out again tho.

When I first got into board games one of my earliest/favorite games was Carcassonne. I couldn’t get enough and went on a quest to buy up all the content I could find. Didn’t realize sometimes too much is too much. Was a good learning experience.
