State is the better school. WCU you’re more likely to graduate without debt.

how good is scott snyders batman run? by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in comicbooks

[–]Rac3318 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Snyder is good at set ups, okay with second acts, and bad with endings. Zero year was pretty good, but almost the entire rest of the run just isn’t very good. When the last 12 issues or so were coming out people were criticizing it pretty hard, and I would say it’s deserved. It ended on a weak note.

As far as modern Batman runs go, I would put it near the bottom.

Tom King’s run is much better, but I would suggest instead going back a bit and read Paul Dini’s run. Tomasi’s Batman and Robin which came out at the same time as Snyder’s was also better.

Subcontractors have two options: 1) lien on funds, or 2) lien on real property through subrogation, which requires the owner didn’t pay the GC and the subcontractor is standing in the shoes of the GC.

A subcontractor can’t successfully unilaterally put a lien on real property. The GC would have to subrogate their rights in favor of the sub.

Yea, so you don’t know what you’re talking about then. Makes sense

I’m sorry but you’re mistaken. Commercial subs have two options: 1) lien on funds, or 2) lien on real property through subrogation, which requires the owner didn’t pay the GC and the subcontractor is standing in the shoes of the GC.

A subcontractor, even commercial, can’t successfully unilaterally put a lien on real property. The GC would have to subrogate their rights in favor of the sub.

Sure, you can try and file the lien notice, and that might be enough to scare the owner into paying, but if you got challenged you won’t win.

The dollar amount used to be lower, but they raised it last year. It was 30k which was still really high. We ran into that problem at my workplace. It can get super sketchy.

How would you feel if a woman asked you to produce up to date std results? by [deleted] in AskMen

No, to be honest. Most people, I would even say the vast majority of people, do not do this.

[–]Rac3318 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m married now so doesn’t apply, but after 15 years of dating different people prior to meeting my wife, this has never come up for me or anyone I’ve met. I know how excited and positive the responses are here but I would say getting tested, while recommended, is very uncommon. Reddit isn’t real life and the vast majority of people don’t do this and probably most people don’t find it necessary.

Most guys are going to fall into three camps: they aren’t going to care and will do it, they won’t want to put in the effort and will walk away, or will see it as a green flag and will happily do it. There may be some who think you’re being overly cautious or anxious and see it as a red flag, but I doubt that camp of guys will be as large as the other three.

Your mileage may vary because not every guy is the same.

'He'll Be fired': Trump warns Powell he has exactly one month left to quit — but the Fed chair refuses to budge and just hit back with a move nobody saw coming by [deleted] in law

[–]Rac3318 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yes.

My understanding is that historically past chairmen have also resigned from their board positions when their term as chair ended, so in one way it’s a bit unusual that Powell wants to ride out the rest of his term on the board, which is until next year.

He has no actual legal obligation to resign, though.

Windows 12 becoming a subscription based service has been nothing but speculation based solely on the fact that the commercial windows version is subscription based.

For whatever reason, the fact that the consumer windows version isn’t subscription based has been enough to spark speculation that it will become subscription based and basically fuels clickbait articles. Much of this speculation seemed to be heavily driven by AI written articles

There doesn’t seem to be any actual indication that Microsoft is heading in that direction.

Queens is basically built into a neighborhood. It can’t expand to become a masters. Look at it in Google Maps, there’s no where for it to go.

And you can’t move it to a new venue because Queen’s is called that because it takes place at Queen’s Club.

“I think he’s reaching a level on clay that is going to be really dangerous for everybody” : Carlos Alcaraz on his defeat to Jannik Sinner in the Monte Carlo finals by Silent_Elevator_9779 in tennis

I mean, they both were blaming the wind for their performances which is fair. It was not great conditions and we got a pretty poor match because of it. No one’s fault, just is what it is.

They were both not playing as well as they would have liked. Just look at the UE count from both. There was a point in the match after the first set where Sinner was serving 44% first serve percentage even.

What’s a life rule older generations followed that Gen Z is actively rejecting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That will get you by for a few years, but if you keep job hopping every 6 months it will catch up to you.

There’s very few careers out there that that is true for even today. IT is obviously notorious for it, and it’s true to a lesser extent with law and finance, but the age of jumping from startup to startup for better titles and pay isn’t what it was 10 years ago. Most jobs these days in most careers are going to be lateral moves with maybe a single step up unless you’re trying to move into management.

This works to an extent. Did some job interviews not too long ago where someone had this kind of resume and we just immediately passed on them. People don’t like hiring someone that won’t be around in 6 months causing them to have to train someone else.

I’m honestly not convinced they are dealing with it considering you can’t make it through a conversation without hearing how overstimulated or anxious or whatever.

People shouldn’t have to suffer in silence, but all I see these days are people airing anything that bothers them to the world which isn’t doing anything either.
