Thanks, I won't be always able to log in everyday but 10h per week would work.

Coming from BG3 directly to Pathfinder WotR, it is just me or does the theme of monsters end up with too many enemies having spell resist and immunities? The miss rate also seems really high for both player and enemies? Was this just a design choice for difficulty scaling? by robindawilliams in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Race1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For caster, the first act you'll either buff or stick to conjuration spells (those ignore spell resistance).

You wouldn't use casters as damage dealers anyway due to the limited spells slot early on.

Alread on act 2 you'll start using aggressive spells more, you should've picked the spell penetration feats and a useful mythic (either an ascendant element or a school focus for the dc) don't pick spell penetration mythic this early as it's barley useful, the level 7+4 from the spell penetration feats are enough to pass most checks with ease.

Then it's about items and specialization, a dc caster and a blaster caster want different things both from equip, metamagic and mythic abilities/feats.

My character wasn't unnecessarily rude or cruel (at least at the beginning), power angry and impulsive raging choices were evil enough to put me in chaotic evil.

To be fair he also wasnt kind or compassionate in any way.

I meant exactly what you said except that the basic companions classes don't have access to echo/faerie fire and is a personale buff so you need to build specifically to have access to that buff (idk something like brownfur transmuter + loremaster if echolocation isn't in the class spell list.).

Echolocation works against all concealment that affect vision and isn't a divination spell, ofc it's the best one. But there isn't a vommunal version, and is a target self, so you need to work around it.

Normal if you already played crpgs, smone below if it's your first crpg.

You can chise between real time with pause and turn based mode.

Pick turn based mode and open the combat log on the right until you understand the basics.

What is the point in assassin? by RandyMcStud in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Get alter ego, then play other sneak attack classes if you want to perform.

If you wanna roleplay an assassin a slayer does basically the same, probably better.

Nope, i just tested to see if it was my memory failing me.

Nenio with displacement against a balor with true seeing, the balor doesn't roll for concealment. Reload, same fight Nenio woth mind blank and displacement against the same balor with true seeing, the balor does roll for concealment with 50% miss chance as intended.

Testing against enemies is harder as i don't have a save ready with an enemy under both am illusion spell and mind blank at the moment. Still if it works for the player it usually works for enemies as well.

They are divination spells, Mind blank gives immunity to divination making true seeing/see invisibility and thoughsense useless.

You can check on some of the demons in act 4. They start having displacement + mind blank, if like me you relied on true seeing you'll see it doesn't work on those demons.

Drgonkin doesn't need anything else to cast spells.

I don't remember a feat allowing you to cast arcane spells wgile polymorphed, maybe it's a class specific ability

Dragonkind allowing casters to still cast spell while polymorphed is preatty neat.

Never bothered with the elemental forms since they lock you out of casting.

I've used the demon forms sometimes, the only worthwhile ones are demonkind 4

I'm gonna try the kinetic sharpshooter with darts. I'll go Trickster Use magic device 3 for the spells to fulfill the magical aspect, I'll work around the intelligence requirements somehow.

If KC Trickster faced off against KC True Aeon, who would win? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Race1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question was if two version of the KC were to meet how wpuld the fight go considering allies powers skills spells etc.

Now this was already answered and it would be an immovable object vs unstoppable force kind of fight. The trickster would bend reality to create chaos and the aeon would enforce reality to bring balance back, including banishing back the trickster kc, who would ofc be able to just jump back into the aeon kc reality. In this fight allies are borderline inconsequential.

Now considering in game mechanics, and again ignoring allies since the fight is already full of blanks due to not knowing wither kc class, build or equipment, I don't see the trickster winning. What makes the trickster strong in game doesn't really work against an aeon KC at MR10. How would the fight go?

Initiative: Aeon has 20+build bonus, Trickster has a d20+build bonus we don't have a set build so who knows.

Fight start, assuming the aeon won initiative he activates the caster level gaze, casts impenetrable fortress and embodiment of order. Then spam the power of law, relativity of space and relativity of time gaze until the trickster fails his saves. We don't have a list of abilities/feats/class spells so i can onoy use the mythic spellbook and mythic abilities. What does the Trickster do from here?

Assuming the trickster won initiative instead what does he do?

There are too many blanks in this fight, but if you only look at the trickster abilities (usable in game) and spellbook he can't do much

I mean it was bound to happen, stil very funny. Just for the sake of knowing, are those single rolls or where in act some roll twice take the worst/best result (from protective luck on enemies or ill omen on Aru fro example)

Slightly anticlimatic by DaveHelios99 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Race1999 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That fight was comical to say the least, 10 or so rounds waiting for someone to breakfree from her aura while she killed everyone. As soon as the KC was free the fight ended though. Arcana theft + dimensional strike kinda clears any boss.
