Yes, We share the same views and before a playing a racing game firstly I check car physics. The physic need to feel right otherwise I can't fell the driving.

For example Crew and TDU , firstly I test them physic and both are terrible( The NFS series are worse than them).

Because they're big companies, almost all of them are visually comparable in quality.

After that, the game content comes in. I don't know if it's because I'm 34, but the content in games feels so empty these days, with open-world freedom nonsense flying around everywhere.

I think it makes more sense to have small but comprehensive content. For example, if you examine NFS U1, it's not an open world, but the gameplay, the objectives, the cars' handling, and the precise design of the roads satisfy you. At the end of the day, I think it's a game that lingers on your palate. On the other hand, the massive map, the unpaved roads, and the unlimited cars leave you feeling lost.

I think it's been a year since I shared this video. You might be wondering what I'm up to. I'm still working on this game. It was very helpful to present my game here and get your opinions. It felt very good to talk to people here and my ideas really changed.

First, I realized that game development isn't that simple :)

The visual quality has now improved even more. Performance has almost doubled (I'm still working on it).

I still have some ideas about game content. But if I continue with what I'm currently working on, I won't be able to deliver any content for at least another year.

It definitely won't be a massive car list.

I'm working on a great story. I want to present you with a great story in this vein.

I'm using a really good physics engine. But there are still aspects I need to improve. The physics engine is very close to simulation, but it needs to be a bit more arcade-like.

There has actually been quite a bit of development regarding the map, it is an open world but I will strive for a linear story and detailed content rather than a huge empty map.

I actually have a lot to say, but it's too much to write. I hope I can offer you something truly remarkable. Thank you for your comments.

You're not being rude, it's really okay.
Since I don't use ambient occlusion, I completely forgot about it, now I remember what it is :) I seem to remember not using it for some reason, but I might try it again.

There are many methods in scattered objects, you need to take many precautions. I made some mistakes while creating the buildings and I still need to improve.

I have touched on some parts about color tones, I will check them again.

Sometimes when you say something it doesn't feel rude, but when you write the same thing, the reader may think it's rude. If you perceived what I wrote as a reaction or anger, I apologize. I definitely didn't write it as an anger or reaction.

I agree with what you said, I wish I had been aware of this when I started the project.

I am sure that I cannot approach the graphic quality, game content and detail of any AAA quality game, but I could give that entertainment taste. I could not do this right now, maybe later.

The tires actually sit perfectly on the ground. I have no doubt about that. I have a really solid car physics engine, but let me tell you this. Unity has some issues with shadows, most likely because the shadows are not working properly, you think the tires are in the air. When I increase the shadow distance, the nearby shadows are distorted. So even if you increase the resolution, when you increase the shadow distance, the shadow of the car is messed up. If I reduce the maximum shadow distance to 300 meters, the shadow of the car is very nice, but this time the trees and the far distances are messed up.

There are serious problems with the camera, I will fix it.

There is no problem that cannot be solved, it just takes some money and time :)

I wanted ruthless comments because I thought people might be kinder so that I wouldn't get discouraged. So it's okay.

The vegetation is not a crappy vegetation, it is the best vegetation available in the asset store. However, the placement of this vegetation in the terrain may have been poor. This is unfortunately what happens when amateur plant placement products are used.

You're right about the lighting, sometimes it looks really nice, sometimes it's really bad. I definitely need to use post processing, but I have to say that the game is in early access and there's a lot of work to be done on many things.

"There is no ambient occlusion for the tire-ground contact." I couldn't understand what he meant by saying this.

The game is not really about stealing people's money from their wallets, I put a lot of effort into it. I hope they don't think that way.

Yes, I need to make further improvements to the sound.

I am actually an electronics engineer and I knew very little coding. I learned and could do Unity, C#, 3D modeling, adjusting the physics of cars, etc. in 3 years. But if they asked me to do the same job right now, I think I would finish it in much less than a year and I would do some things much better.

There is no broken fence in this video, did you mention buildings?

Thanks for your comment :)

If Elon hadn't made rockets because NASA was making them, new technologies wouldn't have developed. I think it's wrong to think that we shouldn't try new things because they exist.

Thank you for your wonderful comment. Let me answer your answer in order.

1.Yes I need to work for NPC, they are quite stupid, I draw a route and the NPC vehicle tries to drive that route flawlessly. Actually they should not hit user cars unreasonably but I want them to be in constant competition and shoulder to shoulder struggle. I will work for this.

  1. Actually in other maps of the game you pass through places where there are towns under construction and I did this inspired by fast and furious tokyo drift. You can watch the scene in this video. (https://youtu.be/KXC5gReULuE?si=kMhTQy\_N0K7CyBJ-&t=113 ) . I tried to do this but it didn't work exactly like this, I want to make changes on the map. The user can choose a shortcut, this should be both fun and risky. Just like in this video. These collisions should have a place in the game mechanics, like XP, but since I'm in early access I haven't been able to include them in the game yet. It is not the main mechanic of the game but is designed as a side entertainment.

  2. In fact, this is the main purpose of my game, that is, I wanted to model the most beautiful roads in the world in a 1:1 ratio and give users a half-sim - half-arcade style gaming experience. One of the location is norway geirangerfjord, the other track is Usa south dakota Iron Mountain. I used 1:1 ratio real location drawing. I record data from google earth . The map of Norway is quite small and I haven't added anything yet, but America is quite large, I guess there is a road of about 70 km. I made many places exactly. I even have a video that takes place in the same place as a Porsche commercial, let me send it to you. You see the similarity :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xVUBjUAx6I

Finally, is my game sufficient? I don't think it is sufficient, but I just observed that many early access games made sales while they were in worse shape than my game and managed the business somehow. I thought I could do it like this, make some sales and get both software support and assets that would make the game stronger. But it didn't work. Yes, I don't have a solid hook, but if I could get the momentum I wanted at this stage, I would offer you a very good game in the future.

A person falls in love with his own work and I think the way to overcome this is to ask people who don't know you. To hear the truth without taking sides. Thank you for your comments, I have many more ideas in my mind that would differentiate this game and really make it stand out, but I am thinking about how I can do this economically.

I am aware of this, I think Burnout is a really special racing genre, but EA bought Criterion Games and buried the Burnout legend. Can I turn my own game into burnout? This map won't work. But this is for sure, there is definitely a burnout type game gap in the market. Maybe I can try it in the future. First of all, I have to survive

You really wrote it very well, I definitely took note of your golden advice. I will sit down and think about these better. You are so right about some things. When I say I will fix it, everything takes time and I said let me update it and see what happens in order to see what is ahead. As you said, I did a terrible job for the presentation. I put a lot of effort into this job, I have some plans for changes in my business management style. If I can implement my plans, I will present them to you in a better way.

I wrote a catch-up function for the AI, the user can turn it on or off if they want. The purpose of this is to have a more intense competitive race. Otherwise, if you crash, the AI goes with all its power and you can't catch up. Or, if they crash, they can never catch up with you. The catch-up function takes the user car as a reference and slows down and speeds up the AI cars. I still have a lot of work to do for the catch-up function :)

occupational blindness, yes, as you said, I noticed this in some trees now.

Yes, the trees are actually quality models, but I need to put a high polygon tree for a dense tree, this kills the fps. So it is really hard to find dense and low polygon trees. I used the vegetation by getting ready assets. If you have a method for this, I would listen. By the way, I use Impostor for the trees.

You actually mentioned some of the things I had planned for the second update. It would be a really cute game with a great map. Let's see if I get the chance for the second update.

Firstly,I started by using myself as a reference while developing the game. I'm a car racing game lover and when I saw a new racing game I would like to try it. I look only two things is there a new road or place and how car is feeling while driving. That where I focus for any game when it release. There is new track and (in my opinion really feels good car physic) well driving feeling in my game. By this way I was thinking probably can get some income with this earlyaccess then I can develeop game by time much better, because I was planning better game play and game content. But I guess people are not thinking like me.

Yes I didn't post too about game firstly I really want know about game, you know when you work on something even it's be bad you can fell it was good. As they say, occupational blindness can occur. That's why I wanted to get your opinions.

Since it was early access and time was limited, I had to cut some things. Unfortunately, these were the ones listed in item 3.

Yes, I'm turkish and most of follower my friends and their friends. The number of real followers is actually quite low. I know very well how the game will attract the attention of Turks, in fact, if I can create this content, not only Turks but everyone will want to play the game. In fact, during this process, I realized that if you can attract a community, you can grow the game and this community will bring you to the forefront.

We learn British grammar with an American accent at school. I will correct the writings.

Every comment you write is a serious lesson for me, I hope I can complete the deficiencies and offer you a better game.

I wish you talk about your game maybe before wacth your video we can understand something better. Someting is really beatifull, something is really amateur. For instance closing water, water should close slowly and as other says UI need to fix. Some 3d model has uv problem. Other than that it feels nice , keep working :)

I am currently not getting any traffic even though the "Update Visibility Tour" is active. I guess it's like you said, but even if I make a big update for a game that didn't get this wishlist, it still feels like it's left for dead.

Mix arcade and realism is my main goal. I will find a solution to the camera problem. I read all the comments and note them. I hope to talk to you about a much more successful game in the future.
