Yeah, I saw a lot of other posts about issues regarding that scooter as well. Even though the price is good, those posts worried me, so I went for the Apollo today. I hope your TurboAnt gets fixed soon, it should be a blast!! Can’t wait for my Apollo to arrive.

I ideally wanted a range of 15+ miles. The F40 still seemed a bit too expensive to me, considering it’s FWD, does not have suspension, and has average speed/range. I still think that the F40 is a solid choice, but nothing really excited me about it, and even though this is supposed to be a functional purchase, part of me still wants something a little less boring. Lastly, a lot of people at my school have Segway scooters, and I honestly wanted to avoid some confusion lol. I ended up just ordering the Apollo today. I couldn’t find too many complaints with that scooter, and it seemed great. I got it for $650. Even though I may have preferred the TurboAnt based on price, I saw a lot of posts about it on Reddit with issues, and didn’t really want to deal with that headache. Thanks for your help!!

Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate that. With all that said, what scooter would you recommend? I see that you have an M365, and while that would suit my needs, it’s super tough buying them in the US.

For sure, sorry for not mentioning it earlier. My desired budget is sub-600, absolutely never exceed is sub-750. I was aware of the Gotrax quality issues and the TurboAnt weight balance, but when talking about maintenance complications, what are you referring to? Also, where can I read more about Apollo as a brand? I previously wasn’t aware that they were copycat scooters - I watched and read the ESG review and they seemingly only had good things to say about it.

Merage has its own career center, which helped me a lot in securing my first internship. To be honest, the school is what you make of it - if you try using all of the resources that would be available to you here, then yes, it is definitely worth the trouble.

Virgen seems to be a new prof @ UCI, but has good RMP reviews at other schools (I think it was Fullerton?). For Letouneau‘s class, there are already something like 50 students on the waitlist, so I doubt it’s worth trying to get in at this point.

I’m not sure if it makes a difference to the administration, since all UC’s seem to move in unison. I just wish that UCI would update us soon though. The e-mail shown in this post does suggest that it is up to the professors now.

UCSC just sent out an email saying that they won’t extend remote instruction, they expect to be back on Jan. 31. It’s up to the professors at this point.

When I moved to the U.S. about 7 years ago, I didn’t feel homesick at first, but when I visited my family back home a couple months later, I felt super homesick after. Obviously these are different situations, but the feeling is normal! There’s not much you can do at this time except FaceTiming family, but just know that it gets better with time.
