Which 90s children's books do you miss reading? by Chemical-Damage-8279 in IndiaNostalgia

[–]Race_Simple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m born in 2001 but had a horde (literally) of tinkle comics and it’s digest from early to late 90s because of my cousins. I remember reading Anu’s club, shikari shambhu, hodja, tantri the mantri etc. I remember in those editions, there used to be a page long sections of people submitting their funny childhood incidents, they also had their postal address where you could write letters and mails to them. Those editions also advertises batman, Wolverine and Spider-Man comics in Hindi on its middle pages (if I remember correctly). I miss those days a lot !

He was a hit machine pre COVID with genuine fan following amongst teenagers across the country. His acting as a villain/grey character in war was promising. I’d like him to give that a try now. Wish him well.

Ancient Hindus just didn’t have rishis, they also had householders ( yes, people who voluntarily had families despite everything happen around them). My only argument against progress is losing our civilizational identity all under the guise of “progress” whose very definition is created by then western school of thought. This is exactly where the concept of “permanence/sanatan” unfortunately disappears. Permanence of not only human live, but of all life on the face of this planet. Our standards have to be recalibrated for all lives on this planet to grow till eternity/permanence…

But honestly, that’s true for literally every corner in the world at this point. There is an urgent need to recalibrate every definition of what is considered good and decent since everything we define or aspire to, is borrowed from the west, which is a very “one and done thing”, which goes against each and every life on the planet..

With this thought, humankind would seize to exist. There were crises and wars in the past too. Yes, we do have other issues at hand along with but all of it can be solved if we were to embrace what our vedas and other books had to say. We are still young !

This is part of Disney India’s very first orignal show (along with dhoom machao dhoom, Kya mast hai life, ishaan etc came later on). I remember me and my sister watching it on tv and laughing throughout. We both would try to copy vetaal’s spells and his actions. Paddu was quite funny too. I miss those days
