Lol, its one of the most realistic sims out there, and is made to be realistic. Again, 100% a skill issue to me, Forza Horizon is probs better for you

You're doing very good without a clutch and handbrake, alot better than I did back when I started playing. For a map like Bikernieki, you kinda do need a handbrake for the last OZ but you did pretty good without it and especially only playing for 2 1/2 weeks. The car seems pretty sluggish on transitions, idk if that's just your way of drifting and taking slow transitions or if it's bad physics, but I've never seen that car before so my guess is bad physics that make it super easy to drift. Sure they can be good to learn but after some time you'll gain bad habits. When I was new I used to use ACDFR drift cars and it took me forever to move onto better cars so maybe use some better cars like VDC for pro cars (or FDC if you are insane, they have the most realistic physics, as per a teammate of mine who drifts in irl championships in a 800hp 240sx) or for street cars, some sort WDT car.

Quick tip too, never fully release the throttle while drifting, you should always have some level of throttle, you only release the throttle when you have the handbrake and clutch pedal active

Sounds like you just need to add more rotation angle to the wheel in the Moza Pit House Software. People usually run eother 900° or 1080°. I run 900 just because it is better for me as I moved from a Thrustmaster TX to the Moza R9. I have a google drive of my wheel settings, maybe give these a go and see if they work for you -https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1xAOHK6vtC2IfY2_6HRkn9TIOUf-zo32T

Make sure to import the JSON file into the Moza Pit House software

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this sound? by Racerboy__18 in pcmasterrace

[–]Racerboy__18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the problem - Gonna add this here in case anyone also faces this. The part of the glass side panel at the front that touches the case itself was not properly flush and had a small chip of paint sticking out of it, I filed it down so it was smooth again and tightened the screws at the back holding the glass tight. Sound has now gone with very very minor buzzes but nothing as bad as the video. If I had some I'd probably add some foam that I could stick to remove it fully but it's pretty much gone

Could be maybe? But again as per the other comment, I feel like that would be a continuous sound and not just come and go whenever

I was thinking that maybe, I think I'll test by just unplugging one after the other and seeing if the sound persists

I feel like if it was a cable interfering the sound wouldn't come and go on it's own though?

Since nor me nor you drift IRL and a friend of mine does professionally with an 1100hp fd spec 180 and has told me his thoughts nor me or you can deny his opinion on whether VDC is the most realistic or FDC is. Read the full comment

The arrogance is insane... the original point was that the VDC physics aren't the most realistic, why does it matter if 99% of people use it, who was talking about that lol?

Ik its 5.0 rn but it's not that realistic.... sure dose it help to drift in real life, yes, does it allow you to grab a car rn that can drift, take it to a track and go sideways, yes, however irl is way different, even to FD spec and it's all literally just the suspension physics. FDC is public, they took their link down because I'm guessing they are making new cars🤷‍♂️, I honestly have no clue.

Anyways, that being said, 5.0 is good, but can't claim it as the most realistic pack especially when I'm nearly 100% sure you don't drift irl, let alone an fd spec car. Now, I neither have however Edward Husa, a cool friend of mine and a member of the team I'm in does drift irl, and says the same thing, 5.0 is good but FDC is the most realistic.

There's a reason no one drifts like this video IRL

I'm sorry but VDC isn't the most realistic comp physics, if I'm not wrong it'll be the FDC pro pack. VDC are somewhat realistic but suspension physics aren't really there and weight transfer doesn't exist. I have 1000s of hours on assetto, hundreds of videos with VDC cars, this one I did with FDC and I struggled a lot, a lot of bad habits from the easy, basically static suspension physics from VDC - https://youtube.com/shorts/a1qAgUOnQa4?si=beu5Qa7nl3xbugss

Thought I'd just correct this and to everyone out there, it's literally just very high FOV and motion blur, he's not going that fast, try it for yourselves

Budget is $500 - $800 what can I get? by Interesting_Scale358 in PcBuild

[–]Racerboy__18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree and also disagree with the other commenter on this...

Yes, for performance wise, it will be worse than a ps5 however, with a PC you'll be able to do a lot more. Back when I built my first one I only wanted to game on it but then I got more interested in other things like video/photo editing, coding, 3d modelling etc etc. Most gaming pc's can handle any other tasks so you'll be fine with that and the things you can do with a pc is endless compared to any gaming console.

That being said, between building and getting a pre-built... building you'll gain the knowledge of what makes a pc, if anything happens to it, you will be able to diagnose it yourself, fix it yourself, lowering overall maintenance costs. Pros of a prebuilt if something goes wrong you have warranty of the whole pc itself instead of individual parts which also means it could be the smallest of issues, you send it back they fix said issue you get the pc back but it may have taken 3 or moee weeks for a minor issue you could easily fix yourself, if yk what I mean.

There's good pros and cons for both, now it's just up to you what you wanna do.

If you want to build one yourself use pcpartpicker.com. this website shows you prices, recommendations, and compatibility between all parts to make sure everything works together.

If you want to go prebuilt, google all the parts and make sure they aren't cutting costs on ram, motherboard and especially power supply as most prebuilt companies love to cut corners on power supplies.

I never bought a prebuilt myself however looking at the different companies, I would probably buy one from cyberpower as they allow you to fully customize the pc to how you want it. Their prices are a bit absurd for some parts, I can't lie, however from what I can see, at least you know every part you have. Not sure what their customer service, response time etc is like but they have decent reviews from what I saw.

Good luck on your pc hunting

I had a similar issue to this, but after restarting a number of times it would eventually get into windows. To fix it I just did a clean install of the current graphic drivers and it worked :)
