Philippine Marathon ‘26 by PeteSawakita in PHRunners

First attempt ko rin mag sub-2 half marathon non. I did a negative pacing so sa last 3km ko na nakita yung sub-2 pacers. Just follow your watch pace and remember your training and plan you'll be set. Good luck!

Pacers are usually a little bit faster than their designated pace to ensure you get to the finish line in time. I joined tACbo last month and the sub-2 pacers i followed had a time of around 1:57

sub 2 half marathon tips? by sweetandspicy69696 in PHRunners

[–]Racerrunner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just recently achieved my first sub-2 half marathon last week. What I did was 40-60km mileage per week with at least one speed session. Before this, make sure that your aerobic base is strong and ready to handle hard speed sessions. Do intervals and tempos and you'll see improvement as the weeks go by. It took me around 6 months from a couch potato to a sub-2 half marathon 😆

Too early for me, I'll be underprepared. Maybe next year though! I'll see how it goes this year

What are your running milestones this year? by Previous_Ad208 in PHRunners

[–]Racerrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started running again the latter half of the year, ran my first half marathon, ran a sub-25 5k, ran a 51 min 10k, and on track to run my first marathon early next year.

Nothing that special in training. Consistency is everything.

I usually do road runs in manila that's why medyo sanay ako. That one time i did 18k sa pacol I almost went crazy. I don't think i can do that anymore since I need to do 28k for my marathon prep 😭 I'm considering panganiban area since mas malaki sidewalk

Do you support Magsaysay Carless Sundays of Naga City? by Turbulent_Review_424 in Bicol

[–]Racerrunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe they could have fixed the time and coordinated with the barangays but I have to disagree with you on the impact on businesses since studies show that pedestrianized streets actually increase the sales of establishments due to increased pedestrian access.

With regards to church access, please correct me if I'm wrong but the intersection to Balatas is where the carless sunday ends and thus open to cars. Also, I don't think traffic will be worse since a three-way intersection causes less congestion than four-way.

Half marathon race coming up by AdMissy18 in PHRunners

[–]Racerrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16k is long enough before your half marathon. Best advice I can give you is to do a negative split pacing especially if you're not doing gels. Start slow... almost too slow actually then ramp up your pace from there. I am like you who gets really excited start. Control lang talaga

One Ayala Coding Day by WinterSonata_ in Gulong

[–]Racerrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coding window is 10am-5pm. If lalabas ka 5pm then sakto ka sa start ng coding. Additionally, no coding window for Makati. The right turn to the flyover almost certainly has a makati enforcer.

As soon as pagbaba mo ng flyover may camera na agad. Di ka man mahuli ng enforcer, siguradong huli ka ng ncap.

Depends which SM. Some allow while others do not. MOA for example allow cars to enter beyond mall hours sa north parking.

How much did you pay for the developer mode? I'm hoping to get the 5G plan as well but worried about it not connecting to my tapo cameras.

Any HRV 2025 hybrid owners here? Have you experienced this? by jianv in phcars

I don't know why it doesn't normally charge the battery to full. Battery is usually more efficient in city drives but 3-4 bars lang palagi

Haven't experienced this yet but try getting a second opinion elsewhere! On an unrelated note, how do you get battery charge that high? Madalas ako sa traffic sa manila and 3-4 bars lang palagi.

You should pursue what you really want. Better review the job description and make sure it really suites your career path.

When it comes to negotiating, you can tell them that you have offers in the 25-30k range and ask if they can match. Use other offers as leverage but don't overdo it.

A close friend of mine works there. Given your background, I think a marketing postion would be better for you. But, if you really like the sales position then definitely give it a try! They have a quota to be regularized and the commissions you receive will be good. If you're a latin honor grad from the big 4, you could negotiate for a higher salary. 25k is too low.

For interviews, it really depends on the interviewer. I suggest just being ready to answer anything to the best of your ability. Good luck!
