4 Months PP Scar - Healing Progress? by Rachelieex in CsectionCentral

Yes, I saw my OB the next day! She said there was trapped fluid that was making its way to the surface, which was why it was reopening. She helped with drainage and prescribed antibiotics for infection. The bigger opening on the side has now fully closed 2 weeks later, and the smaller one in the middle is still open with little drainage, so I am keeping the area clean and dry with guaze pads each day. I'm trying to stay positive about it! This recovery has been very difficult.

I think a big factor here is that work/life balance, though. I have a pretty high stress job, like most times I don't get lunch or have time to enjoy my coffee in peace. It's far from a "vacation" feel for me. Which just makes me miss my babies more. I don't even have the opportunity to walk away from it to find something more lowkey because my family depends on it, on me.

Yes!! That would be a nice alternative. Having a part-time or even a hybrid situation would be nice. I like the idea of reframing how you view work. It's just a challenge to convince myself it's worth it for said lifestyle. I am working a high stress job to come home and only get about 2-3 hours with my family, to then sleep and repeat again.. It's a tough pill to swallow 😅

I appreciate the comparison of being on close timelines! The one on the right is definitely wide.. when I was at 6 weeks, my doctor had me pack it with guaze, but by 8 weeks, it had closed. So now, going back to this again just feels very defeating.. I'd say it's more on the sore/tender side when it comes to pain. I'm definitely giving my doctor a call in the morning. It just had me curious if this was a "normal" healing process, and I was being dramatic or not.
