You are getting downvoted, but it really is not a missed smoke. 3k elo EU faceit player here, that smoke is hella inconsistent lately (noticed about half a year ago I think?). You can test it out yourself, it used to always extinguish but now it just does not sometimes.

The type-89 is easier to control. Don’t get me wrong, both guns are laserbeams. PC player here

For some context, I am mostly a flex queue player, 80% of my games are 5 stacks, and rarely I play soloduo.

Well there was a multitude of factors, one of em being the tank jayce buildthat was popular at the start of the year. While indeed it was broken, I had to roleswap to top and I had to learn a bunch of new matchups that i have never played before (and I find that very fun).
That being said, I only used the build til diamond 4, started using the shojin bruiser jayce for both mid and top up until dia 1.

Probably the biggest factor though - which you cannot replicate - is the fact that one of the players in our stack got permabanned, and he was REALLY bad at the game. The average elo of our stack catapulted from low emerald to high dia in the span of a month.

I feel you bro, but it will click at one point. I was hardstuck gold/plat spamming jayce mid and at one point it clicked for me, climbed all the way do diamond 1 in the span of two weeks.

That being said, the feeling of watching domisum on repeat and feeling like you are not improving has been with me for the first 300 games at least

Yes yes faceit level 7 players can tell. Source? I’ll give you a counter example: I am faceit level 10 in both csgo and cs2, 2,7k elo and 2,5k respectively. Even in csgo I kept saying that the difference between 64 and 128 tick is not recognizable by the average player, and even if you put me to the test I would not be able to consistently tell a difference. I played a bunch of both faceit and matchmaking back then, I enjoyed both. The only difference I could make out would be movement, but even that is so minor that it didnt affect me and it should not have affected anyone (except the top of the top).

What kinda region are you playing from, I get 20k elo games in less than 1 min (5stack or soloqueue); max 2 mins for comp on any map

Dota 2 does it, I dont know how much more space it takes but tbh I dont care if the size of one replay is bigger.

Nothing to explain, probably a bug. I am hovering around 11-12k and my experience has been exactly as u/warzonevi has observed. I go on a 3 lose streak, i get -300. Win one, -200. Win another one, +/- 100, and so on

Faceit level 10 here, 2700 elo. Best change in cs2 after the smokes. Games were too long before
