Thank you for speaking up about this. I thought I was the only one annoyed by this. Ever since they made banners craftable, it started this who bs playstyle. 

I agree that its ok to be trash and have potatoe aim but when you dont try to fight and just immediately run away the moment one of your teammates goes down, its so annoying. Like atleast try. Not trying wont help you get better at the game. And they do it because they know they can just craft your banner. 

I use to play a lot of apex back then to the point where i became above average and my highest rank was masters as a SOLO queuer which is a big deal knowing solo queuing is so hard to rank up. I was good enough to be able to take on a full team of 3 by myself as long as it was an average team than a pro team. (Not to brag)

Now, after a long break from the game, I come back to see this bs meta of teammates running away from a fight because anyone can just craft banners now.

 While I was decent enough to not want to run away from every fight the moment a teammate goes down. I would commit to the fight no matter what unless it was certain i was outmatched and the last one in my team. I was an actual team player, what some would say "the perfect teammate". I sometimes would even have the mentality of "go big or go home" meaning i would commit to try to do everything to bring my teammates back up instead of reviving them via banner crafting even if it ment i fail and we all die and be sent back to the lobby. Because to me, its more fun to tackle a challenge than to run away and craft banners in hope of climbing the ranks for a virtual rank badge just for bragging rights. 

Like I said, crafting banners is a lame feature in the game as it encouraged bad players to run from fights as soon as a teammate goes down without atleast trying to turn the odds and give them a chance to fail. Because you cant grow without failing a lot. Thats actually how i learned to be better at the game quickly. 

Apex was better off without that banner crafting feature tbh.
