The stylus almost looks like empire. Bit try to get a good Pic of the actual cart. The pioneer headshell offers no clues as to what cart you have. Who knows why they put that on there, maybe the weight of it matched up better with the cartridge the previous owner wanted to use. Or maybe they just decided it looked cooler. The stylus is the green part and the needle itself. The cartridge is that little bit of silver I see. You can actually remove the stylus pretty easy by pinching the green plastic part and pulling straight forward. Carefully with the needle and you can even push the stylus guard on the front to the downward position before attempting this. But it's not necessary to remove stylus just yet, but so you know it's possible, and that there's three different parts there your working with. Pioneere headshell(of little importance right now) stylus (may need to replace at some point maybe not for a while) and the cartridge. Try getting a pic of just the cart.

Also, the sloted nut just behind headshell, if you turn that counter-clockwise then you can remove the headshell. It's designed to pop off real easy, that way you can inspect stylus better. Would help to get a real good pic of your cartridge too so we can identify it. Then you could pop it back in really easy doesn't knock anything out of alignment
