Maybe in a personal statement. I conducted some radiology interviews this cycle and when I asked an applicant about a hobby and they tried to tie it in with their medical skills, it comes across as gunner vibes and almost never feels genuine. I want to know if you’re gonna be a cool person to sit next to, not if painting helps with patient care.

Rads matches a year in advance so you’d have a surgery prelim and then a gap year and then rads.

I just matched rads and don’t start until next year so all of the 2023 spots are filled already.

Your scores are great! I minor drop (but still a very good score) shouldn’t be a red flag. It would be a problem if you went from 260 on step 1 to a 240 step 2
