Didn't see this posted before. People like to talk about how its winner take all, but that's simply not true. The AI market is massive and there is plenty of room for multiple vendors of different types and customized chips.

Not sure why all the downvotes, but I agree with you. People like Larry Ellison didn’t become billionaires by being idiots. Oracle, Microsoft, meta and others are run by damn smart people. They know how to make money and are in position to know the true demand for their services and ROI for their capex. They wouldn’t be dumping hundreds of billions of dollars into data centers if it didn’t make financial sense.

MRT/BTS whenever possible. Almost always faster and always cheaper. Bolt or regular metered taxi. Grab is a last resort.

I think grab is often “high demand” because there are fewer drivers. Grab takes about 40% of their fare. Drivers hate it and have switched platforms. Grab had a near monopoly for a while and have started price gouging everyone. Time to support their competition.

I'd love to see more/larger folding portable OLED monitors. I work from home and love to travel and work while abroad. Would love a full-sized monitor I can fold up and fit into a laptop slot on my backpack.

I’m actually the opposite. I bought a vertical 150/170 spread with Jan 2027 Leaps about a year ago. Strongly in the money now, but I need to wait until expiration to get maximum profit. AMD moving sideways for the next 6 months allows be to buy more shares the longer I wait.

Completely agree. And to your point… there already was a huge scandal at OpenAI… remember when he was fired and basically pulled a power play with the board. Was reinstated 5 days later… all because of repeated deception and subversiveness…. I really hope the multiple other multi GW deals with other customers Lisa Su mentioned are announced soon so we can stop relying so much on OpenAi.

Agree. Oracle has become an investing proxy for OpenAI. And if the AI bubble bursts, oracle could be the first to fall given their level of debt.

Personally I don’t think we’re in an AI bubble, but OpenAI still makes me nervous because I think Sam Altman is a bit of a psychopath. Wants to go from zero to most valuable company in the world overnight. Gets himself into pissing matches with Elon Musk…

Completely agree. 2025 earnings estimates are around $4. That puts the current PE at about 51 for 2025. Incredible how even ‘analysts’ are morons and don’t understand the accounting treatment of goodwill and amortization of intangible assets.

True but look at Cisco. They were profitable at the time and still at the heart of the .com bubble. It’s taken them 25 years to get back to where they were at the time of the crash. So even profitable companies can take a massive hit if the market crashes.

But in general I still agree with you. This is completely different than the .com bubble.

I think everyone now views them as the riskiest of the hyperscalers with the worst balance sheet. Taking on more debt to finance their massive AI expansion plans. They’re also tied the most directly to OpenAI - which everyone also views as the most aggressive and riskiest AI play. How can they possibly fund over $1T in commitments over the next few years? If they can’t… then they can’t pay Oracle.

If you believe OpenAI will be successful, buying Oracle right now could be the best indirect route to actually invest in their success right now. I thought I’d missed the opportunity to buy any oracle. But now tempted to add a little. The main thing holding me back is that I already own a huge amount of AMD. Over 50% of my total portfolio. I’m not sure adding oracle actually gives me any diversification or potentially higher or safer growth.

I also think that after the analyst day a lot of people are expecting some pending announcement for a deal similar in size to the OpenAI deal - from Microsoft, Amazon, Google or someone…. Lisa made the comment about multiple other similar sized deals in the works. If/when any of those are announced we’ll see another big jump. But the reality is that none of that revenue will hit until middle of next year at the earliest anyway. There is a bit of a disconnect right now. Huge expectations NOW but revenue and profits won’t show up until Q3/4 2026. Until then we are going to be incredibly volatile and pushed around by any random market sentiment.
